I'm sure in the Liverpool Echo he'll be pleading with the Liverpool board to sign Sarr...

I first saw Deeney at Aldershot prior to his home debut, alongside the chap that scouted him for Walsall. His view `a confident (substitute mouthy) youngster with good potential`.
He was right, however as often said he is not an effective lone striker. We have had years of good service from him and he has been rewarded accordingly, but now is the time to part company, as I doubt we will rebuild adequately if we retain his services. Thanks Troy - wish you well.

Troy has got to be one of the best value signings the club ever made. While it appears age may have caught up with him, he's been an outstanding investment for us at ~500,000.

I just feel so sorry for Walsall, all these years expecting some £££ from a clause of some kind

Chris Wood has been linked with a move to Lazio. Troy could replace him at Burnley? WBA also interested in Troy.

But Chris Wood to Lazio. Some journalists need to have a lie down.

There is now an acceptance from both Deeney and the club that if the right offer is made, he will go - Leventhal

    Yes, yes, yes.

Not only that, but supposedly his representatives have been "actively looking for a new club" already.

A bag of Wotsits and a Twix should do it. Hurry up Jose!

It's absolutely hilarious to me that he clearly thinks he's too good for the Championship, when I don't think he'd be at all effective there, either.

I will always love and respect Troy for the time he spent at Watford. He has been a strong captain, but it’s time for new blood.

I will always stand and applaud when he returns to the vic in the future and wish him the best wherever he ends up. A man who turned it around and genuinely became one of life’s good eggs.

If he doesn't end up at Burnley, he is going to have a horrible end to his career at whichever Premier League side sign him. Will be hated.

Probably end up at Leeds, their fans will lap it up and he's probably better than Bamford

Huge dichotomy between the fact that I don't want him starting/wielding considerable influence over us next season, and the extreme annoyance I feel over the very idea that he thinks he's too good for us and deserves to jump ship at the first sign of trouble despite the fact that he had a large share in the pointy stick that was used to puncture its hull in the first place. 'Mr Watford' - laughable.

At the moment I don’t care where he ends up as long as he ends up somewhere other than Watford. From the latest Athletic article it seems like his heart isn’t in it, he feels he’s still good enough for the Premier League and he wants out. Time to say thank you Troy and good luck.

These things have to end somewhere and now is the time.

Great servant to the club , but let’s be honest he is too old to build the next chapter of Watford around. At best should be a bit part player this season as we bring others in

Seems like we're keen on keeping most of our star assets, which is...good? Whether we do keep them is beside the point, we're showing ambition, but it does mean we're risking the financial stability of the club

Wonder if he has been told he will not be a regular starter so wants to go.
