Nope, I'm no way near creative enough!
My favourite part of tonight was when the Chief Football Correspondent of The Telegraph told Troy Deeney he was wrong about Troy Deeney saying he hadn't been offered a new contract.
This... His current deal takes him to over £50k and nearer £60k a week based on appearances, assists, goals, win bonus etc... I think the club will probably be offering him north of £80k/£90k a week to stay. Got to love the Pozzo family!!!
I'd be surprised if Pozzos start to hand out contracts of 70 or 80 grand a week, its not been their style for the last 25 years
Their style over the last 25 years hasn't been in leagues as competitive as the PL. Di Natale was only on 20-30k a week in his prime, the prem is completely different and requires a new train of thought. Our buys last season weren't their style but were needed.
The PL money is something that absolutely breaks the Pozzo model financially. They either offer similar financial packages or lose out on key targets.
How much say do you think the new manager has had in this? Playing devils advocate here....but what if after pre-season Walter fancies going with a new combination up front and we have Troy on the bench? Certainly stranger things have happened in football.
According to SSN Vardy has signed a new deal with Leicester, although it was stated it had nothing to do with the pursuit of Troy I think that may signal the end of their interest. Hopefully
Deeney would be the perfect partner for Vardy, they're completely different players. If anything this will make Troy want to join them even more and will make Leicester more determined to get him in.
My thoughts also, they would give any defence problems. Deeney can keep centre backs busy on his own then Vardy stretching the play on to Deeney's flick ons and through balls.
Bang on. If Leicester were thinking of replacing Vardy with Deeney then their scouting network needs a serious review, which given a few of the signings they made last season, is very unlikely.
Incorrect. Wrong. False. Untrue. Bogus. Fictitious. Phony. Untruthful. Unfounded. Amiss. Awry. Inaccurate. Misread. Misguided. Erroneous.
Deeney has turned his contract down and is joining NASA so he can be the first football player on the moon fact
