Where are rumours on Hauge, O’Brien, Whiteman etc? Was hoping Watford were quietly working away on deals in the background to prove Bilic with the profiles he wanted. The more time goes by without indication of that, the less likely it seems.

Definitely feels like the club are signing what they want rather than what Bilic wants. Makes sense in the long run as Bilic probably won't be here long term. Short term, not great.
I agree with you, it was necessary. We now have to back Bilic with a CM and Winger though. Bilic has been very public about what he wants. It’s not going end well if we don’t bring those players in.

Don’t think we need another winger. Sarr, Sema, Martins, Kalu (when fit), at a push JP and Asprilla too. If we get a CM now I think we’ll have had a very good window.

I think CM is definitely the priority over a winger. I still think a winger is needed though. Kalu is always injured.

AF has stated that he knows we are in for more players but his style is always to break a story including names when he’s had it reasonably assured of happening. He just didn’t the type to be a tabloid hack who will fill the WO Sports pages with rumours or moves that break down.

This was roughly 2 weeks ago. He sounded pretty confident here after the news of Araujo broke that either a CM or winger is joining. I’m guessing whoever it was the deal fell through, just surprised no-one has gone back to these tweets and the others associated with it and asked him. Edit: it was 9 days ago.
That was last week. On Thursday. Id imagine it’s the same player we were trying to play guess who with last week though.
