Thick Tom has proven he can't be trusted with signings after the Jebbison debacle so I hope to god he has no input in this transfer window.

He wasn't number one choice what don't you understand about this? He got what he was given and it didn't work. He's gone now but you still keep on going on about it. Do you honestly think he's going to slag off a player who was bought in to try and help the squad? I honestly don't understand some people on here.

Have to echo UEA here - it’s well known TC wasn’t ’given’ Jebbison. He very much personally wanted him.

I agree, it’s one signing and should not be used as a stick to beat TC with - especially given we spent more financially on players like Kayky Almeida, which was nothing to do TC.

So Tom was lying all summer when he was gushing all over Jebbison then?

You people really do twist yourself in knots don't you LOL

rather than all of us getting bogged down with someone who is no longer here , shouldn't we be more concerned over the apparent lack of urgency with the upgrade of the squad

BREAKING NEWS: Football manager signs player who didn't work out.

Even GT signed the odd dud and said something along the lines of: 'Generally signings fall into three categories – around a third will be key signings; a third will work out well and make a good contribution; and a third don't. The crucial thing is to hope that the most expensive signings don't fall into the third category.'

Looking across his two spells, spanning 15 years, those figures look about right.

A subjective analysis of the Pozzo era would be interesting to carry out but the churn has been so high I suspect it wouldn't fit GT's model at all. At a guess I'd say the model is bottom heavy with a lot of players falling into the third category, especially as there have been a handful of expensive flops.

Perhaps if TC had said: 'I've signed this lad but I doubt he'll cut the mustard so I'm looking forward to sending him back in January,' it would be better.

Owner doesn’t give a rats **** about the club and no desire to invest. Jebbison gone, Dwomoh and Bachman out for season? No problem you have Bayo/Doumbia, TDM and Bond.

We're like the Christmas shopper waiting till the last possible moment to get a turkey on Christmas eve for a fiver.

The problem is, our turkeys tend to be a lot more expensive.

I do not think anyone could of for-seen what a total waste of a loan signing he would be. Muff obviously knew he was garbage so got a good laugh I am sure at the time. However considering how they have a striker crisis and need to play him we might just have that last laugh.

Jebbison could of been really good - he just turned out the total opposite, shot of confidence and very little technical skill. At least the club did the one thing they could do, cut ties and not keep him till May.

Will be deeply amusing if he goes full Agbonlahor on us and pops away 6 premier league goals by season’s end, gets young player of month and leads the Muffin line with aplomb!

I believe he did his very best to fark up this one-on-one that presented itself to him as he was offside in the first place. ‘Banging them in’ may be a stretch TBF.

Jebbison scoring may have upset the outraged wfc twitterati , meanwhile those lower down on the intellectual scale like Sean Carroll
and his fellow proponents of the quantum MWI (many worlds interpretation ) theory of the universe are revelling in excitement. For there is now proof provided that if Jebbison can indeed score, then all possible events are eventually manifested by the fact there are an infinite number of universes with an infinite number of possible outcomes .

There is a saying that repeating the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome is the definition of madness.
Last season , just before Christmas we found ourselves in a decent position in the league mainly because of worldies or centre halves smashing them in from the half way line . We didn't improve the strikeforce
and worked our way down the division post new year.
I fear that the same thing will happen this season and that the manager will carry the can . Again .

All I would say is those of us that want cleverley here long term better show our support in the best way possible over the next few games and back the team.

at the end of the day it’s down to the players to turn up and put in 110% to keep a manager they all love around the place. But we as supporters can do our bit to both support the players in doing so and show our backing to TC as well. The next few weeks could be absolutely critical

My suggestion is they / he win some football matches. That's always a good way to keep people onside!

I still think if we pick up zero points from our next three games (which are all tricky, even PNE at home) he might be gone, regardless of the pointless exercise in doing so. Football is a results game, and Gino won't care if we lose each game 1-0 in the dying seconds despite playing really well. The long and short if it is, sacking TC will change nothing. We might get a one game "bounce" but it won't be long till the same players' like Sissoko, Bayo and Serraltra return to form. We will only get better with new influx of players' and that requires two things we are short on. Money and scouting,

I have no personal desire or agenda to see TC sacked. But the buck stops with you know who. If he lines up a replacement who he "believes" will get us out of the rut then he'll do it, and no amount of fan protest will stop it.

Agreed, but when you have a squad barely capable of winning matches there’s only so much magic a head coach can try and work. That’s my opinion anyway, we are overachieving with a Low end championship squad, their really shouldn’t be any pressure on the head coach at all

... particularly as TC is in his first management job and is very young. I thought the permanent appointment over the summer signalled that the club understood that the club needs stability and that the EPL is out of reach for the time being. Had we been hovering in the bottom 6 then I think TC would have gone ages ago. We are in no danger of the bottom 3 or the top 6, so stick with TC and stabilise the squad for the next couple of years.

There’s a train of thought that if he doesn’t pick up any points from games against Cardiff, Derby and PNE, he would thoroughly deserve to be sacked.

Just because he’s Tom Cleverley, and we sack lots of managers - it doesn’t necessarily mean it would be the wrong move. It would be a run of form (with plenty of easier games within the run) that should see any manager in trouble to be honest.

I think as you say if he wasn’t a popular ex player there would be more pressure indeed .

Mind you do feel we would be better served getting new players than a new manager now and hoping they stay fit and also contribute.

It would be a shame because I like the fella and he's overachieving with the weakest ever squad under Pozzo. Yes he's made mistakes and I've questioned his motives on the starting 11 and subs plenty of times. But it's honestly not looking good for him.
