Where did you see how to do this? I got an email saying how to download the Villa ticket but would rather download the season ticket so I don’t have to download individual match tickets each time.

It seems if you have an iPhone it only sends you a ticket that (looks like, as it may update before the next game, who knows) it’s only valid for the Villa game.

I got an email from the club. I assume I've downloaded the season ticket but maybe I haven't!

Absolutely no problem for me or my dad, but the woman in front struggled and was let in with the magic card. I just had my QR code up and slid my phone in the scanner bit, I didn't try the other method as QR codes are pretty routine technology so it seemed silly to bother with the NFC tech.

The queue was a pain, but no trouble getting in. Probably because they opened the gate and they just did a visual check that you had a yellow ticket showing on your phone

It’s automatically updated the “ wallet” app with the Wolves ticket.

Anyone else had the same ?

5 of us tried and only 1 got in using NFC. Bit of a shambles and not sure why it doesn't work consistently.

Did they also let you in if you had a Visa card!

By time I got there stewards were just checking and then letting us in using master pass. I applaud them making sure everyone gets in but makes me suspect the new system is not fit for purpose.

Got to the ground at 14.30. Horrendous queues. Walked down Occupation Road past the queue to the rookery and straight to the front of the line for the turnstiles that for some reason people were ignoring! The app worked perfectly. Well done Watford Fc

I queued for 15 mins for the SEJ stand and the stewards were letting the able-bodied through the disabled entrance, with (in my case at least) just a cursory look at the phone screen ticket. Management of the queue could have been better too.

There was a weird queue running the length of Vicarage Road for the Family Stand. It's was weird because I walked up to the turnstiles and got straight in without having to queue. The long queue was for the first turnstile only!! The steward was letting everyone in anyway with his own card. So, the club will not have proof I, or anyone from my group, attended the game.

I was told by a member staff working in the ticket office, the new system has been playing up all week and they were dreading today. Let's hope they iron out the glitches for the next game.

Stewards did a good job managing the queues I thought. Not sure if eticketing works though as they let us in with this pass after checking our phones.

Son had no problem using NFC but husband and I both couldn't get it to work. He got in using QR code and I got in with the Stewards card.

Got to the ground around 230ish and saw the massive queue snaking around the ground. We just went up near the ticket office where they were letting people in through the side entrances.

Fearing the worst got there ridiculously early by our standards (just after 2pm). The boy and myself got in first time using NFC, no queue at the Vic Rd end.
I also see that our ST’s got updated for the Wolves game last night.
Also The Hornet Shop was nearly pleasurable on a Matchday. Admittedly we were in the small queue at 1.45 but the reduced numbers in the store made it a better experience. Hope they keep this permanently- the queue will probably flush out the time wasters/window shoppers.

Given that most fans turn up at between 14.00 and 14.45 that allows 45 minutes to get around 18,000 through the doors. If the new app takes around 10 seconds longer for each person to get in, it's just going to be impossible to process everyone without delaying the kick-off - or, as they did yesterday apparently, opening the main gates. Why didn't they give people the choice of using the new technology or sticking with their plastic card? That way the new system could be phased in naturally over time as more people choose to migrate to this kind of techno-wizardry . Of course the real challenge will come when they introduce an extra level of daftness - checking people's covid status.

If someone could show me what the on screen ticket looks like then I'll just mock one up for the phone.

Only joking, not interested in going, even for free.

  26. Also just to add, when the opened the gates for the free-for-all literally no one was searched even though people with rucksacks were going through.

Queue wasn't much longer than usual for SEJ 2.20 pm. However, trying to buy a beer was a shambles (well the pouring was anyway). Had they had Side Pocket available as stated in the news story, I would have had my beer at least 10 mins earlier !!!

Anyone able to download their ticket for the Brighton away game on Saturday? Option still greyed out, as of this morning.

Further complications for the fans, then.

It would be nice if technology made life simpler rather than mind-bendingly complicated.

Agreed, but of course these tickets will be coming from whatever system and ticket company Brighton are using.

Same here. No tickets tab visible.

I've learned not to panic that my Brighton tickets and Spurs tickets don't exist any more.

Yep, they've all disappeared for me, too. Slightly disconcerting but hopefully all part of the masterplan.
