I assume most people have received this email from the club?

Long story short, arrive earlier or you’ll probably miss kick offs going forward as they’re going to be checking ever more Covid passes and showing less leniency at the turnstiles for the mobile tickets.

Do they really check the vaccine passports though or is it just a threat?

Don't get there too early thought otherwise you'll have to wait for the team coaches which seem to arrive at 1.30!

I like how they make it sound like it's our fault for their ticketing system being awful.

Why are they checking Covid passes when to my understanding the government have stated its not necessary. This is all to do with their complete failure to implement their ticketing role out properly, nothing to do with Covid-19.

Honestly I struggle to find the time to get to games as it is, I don't want to waste an extra half hour of my weekend because they can't get their act together.

But you get a bargain £4 pint of lukewarm Budweiser if you get there 45 mins early!

Get there early for the cheaper booze and you'll be good to drive home afterwards.

Weird. So far, my ticket app has worked once – and even then only after three waves under the sensor. Not my fault it doesn't work and asking people to arrive 30 minutes before kick-off after literally decades of being able to arrive 5-10 minutes beforehand is irritating. People have busy lives, and many have other family members' plans to consider on a matchday too. Yes, I accept a certain amount of risk if I get to the gates at 2.56 but to be told that arriving 30 minutes before kick-off means a higher risk of missing the kick-off – even if they are exaggerating to nudge people to err on the even earlier side – is incredibly annoying.

As for COVID checks – fine, if that's a nationwide policy. But if double-jabbing is not required, they're effectively inviting people to congregate in semi-indoor spaces enjoying a £4 pint for longer than necessary knowing that not everyone will be double-jabbed.

Big misfire from the club here. They’ve wrongly assumed that the fanbase actually care about the team and each other. It’s actually about getting there as close to kickoff as possible, having a decent 2 hours out of the house, clapping mindlessly whatever the result, filming their reactions for Twitter, irrationally booing former players, being emotionally over-attached to a specific plastic seat and leaving early whatever the score to get home in time for Strictly.

Stupid selfish club. We have other things to do then worry about them.

So, a system that has worked perfectly for years {cards} has been replaced by a system that is clearly not fit for purpose. We are now encouraged to get there early so that we can all cram into the bars, all tap the same machines to order our cut price beer and increase our risk of covid. If the Government does make proof of jabs law we may have to arrive by 11.30am to get in for kick off.
Has the new system made stadium entry quicker and easier? No.
Has the new system reduced ticket touting? No.
Is the new system safer than the old card system regarding covid? No.
An option should have been given to fans at the start of the season to opt for new system or retain their card. For those opting for new system, dedicated turnstiles manned by stewards to assist should have been introduced.
This would have given the club the chance to iron out teething problems without pi$$ing off the majority of fans .
It wasn't broken, it didn't need fixing, massive og.

Can anyone help me please? It wasn't clear from the e-mail if I need to start queuing this coming Sunday in preparation for the annual ritual of have our a*** kicked by Man City on 4th December? I certainly don't want to be late on parade and miss fawning over Kevin de B's first half hat-trick. Even if I am delayed, at least I'll have the opportunity to win his match-worn shirt on Big Ben's Cycling GK, I suppose. Win, win. Well...lose, win.

If you get to your seat an hour before kick off you can watch the Man City players warm up and take some photos of them.

No, they just asked if you wouldn’t mind getting there 15 minutes earlier than you normally do.

No-one would have opted for the new system Andy so nothing would have changed. We’ve seen in recent years we have the most ‘we don’t like change, do we Deirdre?’ supporters around.

I got a personal text from Scott saying that while there’s no rush to get to my box, be careful near the VIP entrance as they’re expecting a baying mob with pitchforks around the turnstiles

Maybe a few of the tech savvy younger fans may have gone for it. However' you are probably right GD, nothing would have changed. We could have all rocked up like we used to and got in with no problems.

Are they serious about COVID checks? I am deep on the sesh in Camden now and there is ****all chance of me getting a lateral flow before the game or even waking up before 2pm. I want the days back when waking up quick full English breakfast (veggie one these days) and straight to the pub and game was a simplistic thing.

I used my electronic pass to get into the UGT for the Villa match and it worked perfectly. That was from the Rookery entrance. Since then I've used the Vicarage Road entrance, where there has been a steward on every turnstile who has opened the gate when I showed him my ticket. Haven't been asked to show evidence that I'm Covid-free.

Since then, I went with family members to the son et lumiere show at St Albans Abbey. The steward tried to read our barcodes with her reader; some worked and others didn't. "OK, I've seen that you've all got tickets, so you can go in." That's technology in action (or do I mean inaction?}.

It really is a whole crock of *****. Bring back the Season Ticket cards and make it an opt in system if you want a ticketless option you can have it, but don't force it on the whole fan base until the infrastructure is there and it's reliable and efficient to support it, which is currently is not.

Apart from one game I had to be passed in, I've not had too many issues overall. The issue is if 1 in 4 are getting in fairly smoothly but 3 aren't, it's not the fan that is the issue.

My son can't make tomorrow night's humiliation. I want to invite a friend of mine in his place. Is it possible to transfer my son's season ticket to my mate's phone? If so, can anyone provide an idiot's guide to how it's done? Thanks

    1. Add their ID as Close Friends and Family

    2. Distribute ticket to them via Tickets tab (Ensure suitable match is ticked)

    Screenshot 27.png

    3. Ensure Google Chrome is your default Browser and you have Google Pay in your Apps for Android phones. (Apple has another app you use instead of this, don't think it has default browser requirement)

    4. Have them follow link sent from official club email and download the link

    5. It should appear within the appropriate app.

I can’t seem to download my tickets for the game tomorrow.

They are refusing to appear under the ‘My Tickets’ section of the app and when I follow the download link from the confirmation email, it takes me to a page where ‘download’ is greyed out.
