Raya (Brentfords keeper) out for 4-5 months with a knee injury, will be a big loss for them.

Alvaro Fernandez, 23 years old. Has only played in a couple of cup games for Brentford so far but played 22 games in La Liga for Huesca last season.

Yes, he has been extremely impressive so far, shot-stopping, organising his defence and distribution. Huge loss,

Their fans are having a bit of a meltdown - too many injuries to a fairly small squad. Here’s hoping

Brentford have had their little run , they ll be down in the quagmire by Xmas , and we'll be sitting pretty in mid table.

Was surprised to learn Fernandez has a Spain cap, until I remembered that their squad was hit by Covid and it was the U21s who took their places lol

All I can say is I hope we don’t give Arsenal all this space and time next week !

Leicester yet to turn up .

Leicester seem to be going through spells of really bad to really good. I think they will certainly finish top half, but ever since Arsenal got their first win - they are on a great run. Overtake Manure today.
Makes next week's game a bit scary I will say, it's so important we get something out of today (even a point).

Arsenal can still turn it on against the better sides, they beat Liverpool, Man City in the cup and Wolves away in our relegation season (putting me into a false sense of security that they would do us a favour at Villa). Is the problem the manager, the players (not consistent or motivated often enough) or both?

Ramsdale has won Arsenal that game.

At least your lot has a nice cushion on any trouble. We were utter crud today, and about to go into a nightmare run of fixtures.

Sarr would do well to watch Ronaldo, aged 36 and his attitude to improving and technique.
CR may not be the player he was but his professionalism and desire is a lesson for all.

    Classic Man U.

Win well when the pressure really is on the manager.

But Spurs are a another mess now.

Doesn’t bode well, two of the “easier” teams we’re about to play as part of this nightmare run of fixtures both got comfortable wins in tough matches :(
