Are you posting from the Gambian Islands then? That's the only place I could find with that offset.

  2. Aha. 12pm I should have said!

That shows dedication. But remember things are now looking up. You'll have the added pleasure of watching the Merthyr midget constantly picking his nose on live TV, whining about all other teams/fans in the Champo and emitting an odd whining/sniffing noise during every interview he gives.

Here's the current Championship Manager of the Year (ye gods!) wearing his trademark scowl. Nice.

Leeds don't get on with anyone. You could lock a yorkshireman in an empty room and he'd still pick a fight.

Quite surprised they didn't give it to Carlos Corberan. Loathe though I am to admit it they looked at the Kennel like they could be quite a good side with more firepower, so their season just gone isn't that surprising.

Yep, Huddersfield were lucky last year that there were 3 teams worse than them, whereas the Scum were comfortably in mid table. Corberan has done a brilliant job considering Huddersfield have basically ripped everything up and started again since relegation, but I guess it's not as eye-catching as an overall project as the scum...

We always thought our survival would depend on winning those home games against Brentford, Burnley, Everton and Leeds. It turns out if we had won all 4 of those matches instead of picking up just one point, everything else being equal, we'd still have been relegated by a point.

Is that taking into account the points those relegation rivals would also not have had, had we won?

It was likely for some time before we basically had no hope that we’d need at least a point from the Palace and Leicester games as well.

Funnily enough apart from Everton the Chelsea away game was one of the closest we came to getting a result!

I would say we were ridiculously close to winning the Brentford game (never mind 'getting a result') with the double chance for King & Louza, before losing in the last minute.

Forgotten we were that close - the Brentford game followed the Leeds one and although I myself said that we were pretty much doomed after that match, you never know what it might have sparked had we got that elusive home win.

One more win and we’ll be right back amongst it.

Really impressed with Villas business already, signing Boubacar Kamara on a free transfer from Marseille

and Diego Carlos from Sevilla (who was being linked with Chelsea + Man Utd last summer!). Could be a dark horse to challenge for the EL spots. Although if Beale takes the QPR job like has been rumoured then that could be a big miss.

Could FFP be an issue for them in the future ?

Or they won’t worry about that if these signings help Villa up the table .

Not too sure, they've spent £40m this summer already. Last year they had a net spend of £2m on transfers (largely helped by Grealish leaving!). 20/21 they spent £91m and got £2.5m back. 19/20 they spent 143m and got £2.7m back. 18/19 they spent £17.2m and got £14.5m back. That's a net loss of 276m on transfers alone in the last 5 seasons

The hilarity of that comment is the fact that’s he’s 21 years old. Forest have been out of the Prem longer than he’s been alive. He was 3 when Leeds were relegated from the Prem and had no idea what that was. He’s seen Leeds be a Prem team for 2 seasons in his lifetime and they are only one next season by the skin of their teeth. What a stupid stupid boy.

Looking forward to Leeds being relegated next season.

Yep the manipulation of the Premier League is alive and well. Next season Brentford and Bournemouth will be relegated and Sunderland promoted.......oops....have I spilt the beans? Might be a little tougher, now that Jon Moss has retired, but I'm sure some of the younger refs will be eager to comply.

Teams will be seating over "The premier league coefficient" to see who counts as 3rd smallest. CP ? Brighton ? Soton ?

Yep. Jon Moss is always up for a bung. His last match, so his retirement fund was topped up nicely.
