The final was absolute gash but it was two of the big clubs so it was made out to be a thrilling 0-0.

You can be sure had it not been two fashionable sides they would have been marvelling at the poor shooting etc .

One of the pundits (can’t remember who) said something weird like “you can be sure Liverpool won’t miss those chances against Madrid”. They were trying to make out it was two tactical geniuses cancelling each other out, but missed chances are the same whoever you play.

2 domestic cups. 2 games between the same two big 4 clubs. No goals in 4 hours of football. Both won on pens by the same team. Could it be any more boring ?

It'll be far more nauseating in a few years when Newcastle are playing Man City for the 6th time in a season.

Exactly. The big six don't have ***** matches against each other, they have "tactical masterclasses".

Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, United and City have won 28 out of the past 30 Premier League seasons and 26 out of the past 30 FA Cups.

All you needed to do for both cups is tune in for the five minute penalty shoot outs, although even they’re not that exciting when you really want both teams to lose.

So do we want Burnley to win the early kick off? It would hinder Leeds and mean they have to win. Everton have quite a winnable game against a Brentford side with nothing to play for, and I think it's really out of Burnley and Leeds to be fair to join us and Norwich. Although Everton are far from safe - there is so little in the way of point separating them - winning their game in hand could be the difference between Millwall or Arsenal away next season.

I would be very surprised if Burnley get anything from this TBH.

Spurs will have their tails up from crushing their rivals 3-0, and whoever gets 4th place will be solely determined by what Newcastle do against Arsenal tomorrow evening.

I want Everton relegated, their stadium suspended and then see Tranmere overhaul them in the pyramid.

Kevin Friend absolutely reveling in the penalty decision. His dramatic pause and little smirk as he points to the spot. He may as well have given it the *chef’s kiss* at the end to top it off.

Connet got injured so there was originally 4 minutes then the penalty/VAR happened in that period which delayed things .

    ANOTHER RECORD BROKEN

The Hornets conceded 46 Premier League goals at Vicarage Road this season, the most at home by any side in a top-flight campaign since 1960-61.

But at least it won't be Man City streets ahead of the pack. You need at least 2 big clubs to make a league interesting and there are more world class players around than newcastle and city can buy so the best of the rest (Chelsea Man U Liverpool) will still be competitive to some extent amd more so in Europe.

Realistically Burnley are the club most likely to implode next seasin and not take up a promotion spot.

I think that too. Leeds of the three are probably best placed. Have not built up a squad full of higher earners, plus they always had strong support even in the third tier.

Burnley will need to restructure the squad more radically than Leeds (the core at Leeds is the squad that got them up). Plus the leveraged purchase makes their finances very weak.

If it was up to me I'd expand the PL to 32 teams and have 2 halves to the season. 1st half: 2 leagues of 16 teams play each other home OR away. There'd be a seeded draw for the 16 team leagues each season.

2nd half: top 6 in each league play each other home AND away to decide league winners and european places. Results from the 1st half of the season are NOT carried over for the top 12.

Bottom 10 in each league carry over their results against the other bottom 10 teams they've already played and play the remaining 29 games in the second half of the season.

3 automatic promotion/relegation spots and the 4th bottom team goes into a play off with teams 4, 5 and 6 in the Champo to decide the final spot.

Id invite Celtic and Rangers to join and sell a franchise to a bunch of salivating yanks for a PL team in Northern Ireland in between Belfast and Dublin for about £3bn.

Everyone would be a winner. Irish FC would be huge in the states and there'd be a Big 10. There would be way more big games to televise over the course of the season

As the clubs relegated from the PL would be the 29th 30th 31st and 32nd best teams in the land, it would be more more realistic for small clubs like watford to access and survive in a top 32. It would also make it harder for big clubs to fall from grace which would be attractive for them if not us. It would make PL way more engaging and attractive. Hard to see a downside to this really.
