I know we will probably get battered next week but good to see Liverpool knocking a few in v Southampton.

Plus they've already earned me 50% off at Papa John's for the week, again.

Norwich the better side vs Wolves. Hopefully second half Wolves do to them what they did to us. Norwich win an they are right behind us.... incredible really.

Liverpool are impressive when they're on form, 100% record in the cups as well. Kudos to whoever manages to take points off them (especially far lesser sides like Brentford and Brighton).

    Excuse me??

When we played them we showed them what we were made off.*

  6. Trying to work out if Villa winning was bad or good. Draws palace in to the mix who are possibly weaker than villa in the long run anyway.

    Only 3 points off Palace.

Shame if we don't get a result tomorrow that it means we'll probably lose ground on a lot of sides with Chelsea and Man City to come.

But got to play them at some point I guess.

Sounds like Norwich should have won so probably good they didn't.

  8. Whatever is going on with Leeds kit v Brighton? If I take my specs off I can't distinguish the two teams.

Agreed, it's presumably following the 'shorts' rule, but it's dreadful for the viewer.

I think they must have washed their white kit with some pairs of jeans. Dirty Leeds.

A 2-0 win tomorrow would see us climb quite a bit up the table

Maupay appears to have been to the same shooting clinic as Gray.

Leeds continue to be really quite shyt, which is a bit surprising but good news for us - I wonder if the wheels are falling off the Bielsa bus, or if it's primarily just the lack of Patrick Bamford or an adequate replacement allowing them to play their style effectively.

BHA should be three up by my estimation, albeit I have opened the Barolo!
    Flipping cold on court today!

Remind me why we lost to Leeds? Very poor. Mind you Brighton aren't much better.

I've seen some pretty awful games in my time but never once has had me start a DIY project out of utter boredom.

Brighton couldn't finish a sandwich. Bizarre that they haven't gone for a top striker yet as Maupay is so poor.

Think they must have the worse xG per chances around.

    Is Welbeck injured ..?

If Brighton don't sort out their lack of goals soon then I wouldn't rule them out of being sucked into the relegation battle.

They may be 8th but they're only on 18 points and haven't won in 9 games.

If it wasn't for their brilliant start to the season they would be in big trouble already.

Their fine start to the season saw them outfinish their xG, I guess a lot of people thought they'd finally cracked it and they'd challenge the top half, but the same issues as last season remain

For the past two seasons, Brighton have won just nine games each time. Yet still stayed up rather comfortably in the end.

Brighton haven't won their last eight league games, and their biggest win remains the one against us, the only other win at home being the fortuitous win against a very up-and-down Leicester (hopefully it won't be the up version tomorrow!). Brighton fans were saying how good they were against us, but was it more we made them look good?

You obviously didn't go to the game, if you did you would not need reminding. I am trying to erase it from my memory.

1990 Sheff Utd had no wins and 4 points from 16 and stayed up which was pretty amazing. No relevance to this chat really but hey ho.

Absolutely, they were fine, totally in control, but we were woeful that day. Even so, we gave up two poor goals, but I rarely remember us being under huge pressure that day, did Bachmann even have a save to make?

Yeah they really do look poor. I must have seen them 4 or 5 times and dreadful each time. Unexpected relegation candidate.

The BBC says they had three shots on target, I assume this is the one they had in addition to the two that went in:

79' Attempt saved. Pascal Groß (Brighton and Hove Albion) left footed shot from the right side of the box is saved in the bottom right corner. Assisted by Alexis Mac Allister.
