This one made me laugh, "05 Jan 2011 15:01:20 Arsenal show interest in Watford defender Martin Taylor."
I'm afraid that one is completely true - they have had a really good look at him too seeing as they only have to peek over the fence to scout him out. Wenger wants him to get something from the top of a really high shelf. He just can't get it himself, and it is very frustrating apparently.
My mum says she saw someone yesterday that looked suspiciously like Beckham eyeing up a house in Benskins Road.
Preston North End are set to sign Watford striker Nathan Ellington on loan till end of season. If he impresses new boss Phill Brown then a permenant deal will be struck with Watford when his loan deal runs out.
Been told by a galaxy fan that chris birchall will be joining watford in the next week or so. sky sports news said earlier that 2 championship clubs are after him one being watford and the other barnsley.
A lot of this thread is quotes off this website.. http://www.football-rumours.co.uk/ Don't take anything seriously. As the thread title says, its "rubbish".
"Heard from an extremely reliable source that Watford will sign Dale Jennings from Tranmere, with money raised from Marvin Sordell's move to Birmingham. However, even if Sordell doesn't go it is still believed the Hornets are in pole position to snap up the promising youngster as he is adamant of remaining in first team football." What a fantastic website, i'm blaming someone on the forums for this latest bit of *****! :sign13:
Turkish Super Lig tem Karabukspor have offered Billy Mehmet a 2.5 year deal to stay in Turkey. The player also has offers from SPL and English Championship including Hearts, Hibs, Sc* thorpe & Watford. Hearts offered Billy Mehmet a contract in the summer before signing Kyle, so there interest has been rekindled.
Just saw this on the BBC, i'm sure theres absolutely no truth in the Dale Jennings rumours, but the boy looks quite a talent. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/t/tranmere_rovers/9359758.stm
I just thank god there's a place for it all to go here. There used to be a thread started for each one of these ridiculous topics. It would be interesting to go back and review them to see which if any actually came to fruition...I'm guessing the reality rate is about 5%.
Very amusing to hear a white man speak in a Caribean accent. Steven Ames who plays on the PGA Tour is a good example.
You know another Galaxy fan? I had heard he had some interest in going back to England, but I hadn't heard WFC mentioned...interesting. I like him, but he has not been particularly effective. A little like Lloyd Doyley, we all chant for him to shoot because it just seems so unlikely that he will ever score. Truthfully, charming for a defender, not so much for a midfielder. Still, he's been useful in my opinion. Might not be a bad pickup, nothing special though. He's not the brightest bulb on the tree, though. Remind me to tell you about "Space is high, mate"...
" 15 Jan 2011 01:15:33 Hi I'm from Northern Ireland and we used to have a young lad playing for our local team (Coagh Utd), his name is Stuart Dallas and he now plays for Crusaders who are one of the best teams in Northern Ireland. He also plays for Northern Ireland under 19's and is said to be the next big thing in Northern Irish football. He is being scouted by many clubs and has had a trial at Glasgow Rangers (although they turned him down for being too small). I don't know all the clubs watching him but I do know that Kilmarnock and Watford are interested. (He is an attacking winger)" Sounds like a decent prospect.
17 Jan 2011 17:13:10 Never though i'd post on this site, but heard from a pretty reliable source close to the player that Kevin Phillips could be on his way to Watford on loan for the rest of the season, this being if Watford can stump up the percentage of wages Birmingham are requesting. If true, would be a good signing.
