So you can’t elaborate, fair enough. Should have just said as much pal.

Have a glass of wine, enjoy your evening. I’m sure whatever it is that’s causing you to lash out and behave this way won’t seem as bad in the morning.

If you are old enough for a glass of wine that is - I know some of you 1881 types haven’t quite hit puberty yet.

Look mate - you treat others on this board with utter distain for whatever reason. That's your problem. I don't like it.

In terms of the club - I hold the same viewpoint as you.

Also to add, as it’s quite relevant….

This was your reply to someone who said they were suffering after we lost to Wolves. They had health issues…

‘I'm really glad you are in a better place and hope you continue to thrive post covid/lockdown. Keep well mate.’

Yet here you are cutting about calling someone you don’t know a freak and a weirdo.

It’s almost like you didn’t mean what you posted to that person? Or you did, but are now acting up for some reason?

I’ll let you decide/explain. Because I asked you to elaborate and you chose not to….

Like who? Name multiple names if it’s ‘others’?

And it’s not my problem. It’s clearly yours!

(Also, I’m fairly convinced now that you’re Ucko)

We could actually set another record of the worst home form over a season (Prem if not all time). Sunderland’s home record in 2005/06 was W1 D4 L14 F12 A37. We’d just need to lose a couple more to “beat” that on goal difference!

Leave Ucko out this. I don't listen to WD18 podcasting, not my vibe. Perhaps you need to control your bitterness against younger fans.

My comment was sincere to the guy who was struggling. It's called empathy. Perhaps if you where not so indignant - you would understand. Instead you bray about this forum like the fountain of knowledge, badgering anyone who isn't of the same opinion as you. Embarrassing.

I’m amazed it isn’t in English football altogether, what side in the lower divisions was so abysmal so as to lose 12+ home games in a row? That’s more than half a season in any division.

I looked up the results of the worst sides I could think of (Doncaster 1997/98, Workington 1976/77, Loughborough 1899/00) and the worst from them was seven in a row.

    Record Breaker!
If you’re the shytest, the worst, if you lose them all,
If you’re the gutless, the weakest, if you never win,
If you’re the oldest, the slowest, if you never go,
Then you’re a record breaker, a record maker,
    you’re a record breaker!

Some people don't drink but that idea is too difficult for you to comprehend clearly.

"Dear Sam, I wrote you but still ain't callin" seems to relevant to you.

Even more bonkers when you remember we won the first home match. (To set a record of, I think, 10 home wins on the spin).

If somebody had told us all that when we led Villa 3-0 on that lovely sunny August Saturday afternoon and held on to continue our amazing home form, that we might then only win once more at the Vic all season, we’d have laughed at their craziness!

It’s increduable and sobering for the playing and coaching staff of the club to reflect that just 11 points from those 11 games would have us comfortably competing with Everton and Leeds to avoid the drop.

To have gained three points from each of the games against Norwich, Leeds and Burnley, plus a couple of draws against Southampton and Crystal Palace really should have been achievable among the hammerings from Man City, Liverpool and defeats against Brighton and Arsenal.

    Truly woeful.

I was listening to the Football Weekly podcast this morning while running and the all-time league record is apparently held by Rochdale, who clocked up 14 successive home defeats in the 1930s. So any dreams of beating that will have to wait until August at least.

So they managed 13 in a row in that first season, which we can equal. Then we just need to lose the first two next season…
    It’s on!

I’m not counting this run by ‘Rochdale’, they were playing two games in two days ffs. They conceded 15 goals to Tranmere in two games, one on Christmas Day and the next on Boxing Day.

If anything it makes our historic run seem even worse as we weren’t subject to that sort of fixture pile up. And let’s be honest, half of these scores could be made up.

The part where they started with 14 points in 7 home games, while we started this season with 7 points in 6 home games, before the long losing run in both our cases - that’s “quite well” in relative terms.

I think people are getting carried away. If you took those 11 losses and flipped them to wins we would currently be on 55 points and in the Europa league qualifying spots.

It shows how easily things could have been different.

I meant 7 points in the opening 6 home games is pretty good in the top flight for a club our size, not compared to this season as a whole, but on further investigation I realized it's nothing special - we've had better starts at the Vic at the top level in plenty more seasons than we've had worse (even in 2006/07 we had the same number of points but with a much better goal difference). And even during that OK spell, there were already signs of the horrors to come (much of the Wolves game, first half against Newcastle, not to mention the Liverpool game).

And all that would have taken would have been the fans in the ground choosing to be more supportive. A disgrace, when you think about it
