Agreed, with gram flour you don't need the spices, this recipe is really a simple one using stuff people would probably already have..

I've always called them onion budgies. Just like it's Chicken Alf Garnet not Chicken Afghani.

Very good if you're feeling peckish.

Found today that combining ketchup and tartar sauce makes a decent burger sauce.

Good if your funds are limited and you’re eating on a budgie.

Would imagine that would set you back a pretty polly.

The other day I poached some pears in red win with some sugar added.
    Bloody luvlee.

I do find that fruit needs to be soaked in some form of booze to make it palatable.

Was red win consumed before posting?

Yes Hornmeister, did you heat the wine at all?

Be honest, you fumbled a pear drop into your lunchtime carafe of Rioja.

Don’t know if this is a well known thing but instead of making a cheese sauce for your maceroni just cook the pasta in enough milk to just over it, let it simmer until the milk is the thickness of double cream and the pasta is cooked then stir in butter and cheese. Strong cheddar and Gruyère. Cooked this last night for the first time with some fried lardons stirred through and it was fookin delicious.

Sauvignon Blanc is the correct wine pairing for a decent kebab, I recommend the award winning van in Thame.
