I wouldn't be worrying to much about Manuel.
The British will still come, although it will be more hassle for them and for those that don't the can be easily replaced with Germans, Irish, Dutch, Swedish, French, etc etc.
I used to buy a fair bit of products for my business from the UK as the zero V.A.T and language made It so easy but in the last year its only if absolute necessary and that's rarely, also anyone I speak with are of the opinion it's just to much hardship.
We may be small businesses but combined through Europe its a big market.
So all the market lost to the UK, Manuel still has that market to tap into.
What I'm not buying from UK I might buy of France. So what I'm saying I suppose is for any Trade UK loses someone else gains, most likely within the customs union.

That's what it was all about....the freedom to totally screw our economy and possibly the Union itself without having to be 'dictated to' by you lot.
We're now on the sunlit uplands, but no-one said it'd be 40C and that all the suncream would be stuck in a mahusive lorry jam at Dover.

    And still no unicorns...

It's just sad that after 40+ years of being dictated to by unelected eurocrats we've now slipped into the evil embrace of unelected Sir Humphreys in Whitehall foiling all the plans the brilliant minds we elected come up with. Hopefully we can have Civsexit soon.

Do you actually the Wokey wokes are waffling on or that the right wing press can’t stop talking about it?

Unless you have objections of your own to the things Wokey wokes talk about, then all that is happening is you are recycling the latest Tory reason for working class people to vote Tory against our interests.

Yes but it doesn't need to be British footfall
Europe has lots more tourist markets for Manuel to sell his lager.
People in industry, agriculture, tourism and many other sectors are quickly replacing trade done with or lost to Britain, they adapt and move on which was my point about my own trade with UK companies
Brexit is an inconvenience to the average Manuel in Europe thats all.

Remember when all those people warning that Brexit would lead to a drop in standards/rampant deregulation were dismissed as Project Fear? Good times.

Yes, but now the foot soldiers in the media (such as useful idiot Tom Harwood and others) are out on social media saying that the vote wasn't actually a vote to allow water companies to pour raw sewage into the rivers and seas. Actually it was all far cleverer and more sophisticated than that and we couldn't possibly understand the politics of the issue or the machinations of Government.

All absolute nonsense, of course, but it's given the Tory MPs just enough to play with and there are plenty who will lap it up. Quite an apt metaphor, really. The Conservatives will pump out raw sewage and there are plenty of people who are prepared to just gulp it down gratefully. Always plenty of boot leather to lick. Always plenty of punching down to join in with.

The Festival of Brexit or Unboxed went well then....

"Total fiasco, you say? Appalling waste of public money, you say? Completely different to what was promised, you say? Despite having been years in the planning, no one knew what it was actually supposed to look like, you say? The people who came up with it are blaming its failure on anyone but themselves, you say? I mean … I mourn the time when a metaphor stole imperceptibly into the British consciousness instead of grabbing it by the lapels, shaking it like a rag doll and head-butting it in the nose while screaming, “I AM A STONECOLD METAPHOR, OK PAL?”

So , all you Kings of hindsight, which disaster would not have happened had we voted to remain?
War in Ukraine? Monkeypox? Covid? Affluent middle classes having to fill in a form for Tri yearly holiday ? . Which one PointDexters ? #VoteLabour

20 mile lorry queues, riots in NI over the protocol, depreciation of the pound, stagnating economy…

One thing Brexiteers cannot claim is ‘bad luck’. They have never looked back on membership of the EU and said ‘we can’t count the financial crash or war in Iraq. That would be unfair on the EU.’

A system has to be good enough to deal with shocks. Brexit, increases friction and so is always going to struggle if issues of supply emerge, for whatever reason.

The EU Countries have mostly done better post Covid than we did, so maybe you can’t avoid Covid or war, but you can make the shocks easier or harder to take.

And if Truss uses this moment (as rumoured) to slash workers rights like holiday pay etc then that really will be down to Brexit.

"mostly done better" come on Moose that's like Sadiq Khanage saying "mostly peaceful" at the latest London riot. Cos. If it's a riot . If it is disorder . Call it thus .

I appreciate you are enjoying the inconvenience Brexit has caused the "affluent middle classes" (although the working class are equally inconvenienced on their hard earned yearly escape) but what are the actual benefits for you from leaving the EU?

Schadenfreude can't be your only "benefit" surely?
