The ‘all New’ Duxbury Out Thread

Fair. I’m not giving them credit per se, just saying that being there to give fans a platform to (justifiably) boo them is a less constructive act than working on the next appointment if that was what they were doing (it probably wasn’t).

 

Why bother finalising anything, they are going to **** it up anyway.

 

Clever move by the Pozzos knowing there would be discontent in last night’s crowd aimed at Duxbury and Hodgson. They must have thought let’s dampen down this discontent by announcing a new Coach on the day of the game, throw them of course by distracting them.
Either very good planning or a lucky coincidence. Seemed to work as the crowd were in a good mood for a change.

 

It was definitely planned. Duxbury's programme notes referred to appointing a new head coach and they're printed a couple of days at least in advance.

 

Clever? Or Cynical?

Everyone is entitled to act/behave/support as they want. But the concern for me is that our owner and his disciples know how easily swayed the majority of our fans are - and that they can be pointed in another direction when the heat gets turned up on them.

For me, and I accept its not for everyone, and I know it wasn’t going to happen because of how apathetic our fanbase is at games - but last night should have been hostile and nothing less.

 

I’m hearing Gino has been tapping up a number of potential new CEOs this week behind their club owners backs. They have been told not to tell their club owner. Hot favourite is the FGR CEO who apparently has a fairly loosely worded contract.

 

I’ve heard he’s been after the ex CEOs of Enron, Woolworths and Blockbuster Video to provide an upgrade on Dux.

 

He might stick with the theme of home-grown talent and get that P&O Ferries guy in.

 

Hopefully he’ll make our entire squad redundant.

If he said our product was crap then nobody would have an issue with it.

 

Duxbury will be gone, be interesting to see who replaces him.

I'm sorry but if Duxbury and Giaretta were at another club and had underperformed like this then they'd be out the door. They'll both be here next season though.

 

have said this a number of times…it just says to me that every thing that happens in the club is run by Gino. Dux is employed as a patsy to take the flak of those decisions

 

An interesting quote on TalkSport. They didn’t elaborate but said the cameras were trained on the Director’s box and they expected changes in the hierarchy would be made.

The recent Athletic article said all footballing decisions are made by Gino. Anybody who thinks otherwise is just in denial.

 

Amongst all the noise and discontent, just a polite reminder that we are still paying Danny Rose's wages and shall continue to do so next season as well.

 

Someone I spoke to has dealings with the club, something he said. Not ITK BTW.
