The impressive Mirra Andreeva beats another rising star Clara Tauson from Denmark to win in Dubai.

Fran Jones retires in the second round at Merida having qualified.

Tsitsi wins in Dubai and playing better each match.

I thought he was playing with a blacked out racket, turns out it's a Babolat Aero.

Looks like he's using RPM Blast string too.

Like chicken wire but if you can hit through the ball like he does it goes like the clappers!

Interesting plans for the mixed at Flushing Meadows.

Sixteen pair competition played over two days the week before the actual tournament.

Norrie through easily in Indian Wells,3&0 v the talented but still slightly disappointing Luca Nardi.

Fearnley has a tough match v João Fonseca,Next Gen 2024 winner and rising star.

Fonseca won as expected and will play Draper in the next round .

Radacanu lost her first round match at Indian Wells.

    Better news for Sonay Kartal

Fearnley played well in the two sets I saw.

ER is an enigma, not doing too much wrong but something is missing, probably belief.

Extremely windy which is always a test.

Nice 3rd set bagel for Katie Boulter coming from a set down .

Boulter was brilliant or dreadful in the first set.

Good win for Norrie v Lehecka.

Griekspoor beats Zverev having lost five match points.

And he was 5-2 up in the second set but fortunately managed to win that.

Agree nice to see Norrie get a decent success.

Not sure I'd call it nice.

I'd probably prefer to watch our ladies third team than Norrie!

    Ugly game but effective.

Fonseca by contrast has a beautiful game and,as Hopman said about Laver " When they all go in,what a player he'll be!"

    He will be.

    18 months time I'd say.

Good performance by Draper to the win but Fonesca is definitely going to be a star .

18 months is probably a conservative estimate given he's already won a 250 event.

Top 10 by then I expect if not before.

Missed by millimetres after an unfortunate hold up due to an electrical fault when serving at 4 all,30-15.

Didn't win another game but he will hit people off the court very soon.

That was the worst set of tennis I've seen from Djokovic in about 15 years.

It's Miami in a week or so and a great many of his forehands were closer to Florida than they were the Californian desert.

He looked lost and BVdL looked perplexed and grateful in equal measure.

    Last season on tour?

Yes getting too many injuries ?

Katie Boulter beaten by a top player in Rybakina

    Time will not be denied!

Boulter beaten by a better version of herself.

Tsitsi comfortable against Berrettini and plays Rune next who I can't recall him beating.

Well done SK. From outside the world 200 a year ago to 4th round at the “5th slam” and a match with the world Number one! What a rise!

As IBP says, well done JD too.

How much does Mogi get when Bayo wins something ?

  29. I Blame Pozzo

He's more chance of winning a major tournament than he has of being a goalscorer I'd say!

    She's the female Norrie.

Made herself extremely fit and is grinding opposition down.

Plus none of the elite players know of her or will have scouted her.

Top players treat,in the main and with a few notable exceptions, journeyman pros like something they've trodden in.

By the time they understand they're in a battle THEY get nervous and choke not the lower ranked player.

In addition Kartal hasn't played anyone who can outhit and maintain consistency yet.

    She will now,in spades!

As you predicted bit of a blood bath for Katal v Big Slabs.

Coco Gauff knocked out but Keys just gets thrpugh after a scare.

Andreeva continues to improve and impress beating Swiatek.

    Sabalenka obliterates Keys.

Sabalenka is a worthy world number one, no longer now beating herself as much as she used to.

Andreeva is a slam winner in waiting, if she holds herself together.
