Djokovic doth protest too much methinks.

Didn't win any friends last night I imagine.

What a silly little man he is.

If he couldn’t hold a tennis racquet, he’d be a real nobody.

Mentally that will be a big set to win for Sinner when Medvedev had the chances.

    Good comeback by Vekic .

    Impressive 3rd set.

Not watched much tennis today. I read Sinner was sick in his match that he lost. Navarro not at the races today, Paolini too good.

Yes had to go off for a break.

Agree Paolini was excellent and entertaining.

With Sinner gone it leaves the path clear for Alcaraz pretty much.

Someone please go to Court 2 and untie Pegula and Gauff from the knots Hsieh has tied them up with!

Nobody can boo Novak today. He’s got a walkover into the semis.

Unfortunate as De Minaur literally seemed to get injured right at end of his match as well .

    Cracking semi final .

Both players excellent at times .

Ebbed and flowed literally till the end.

Shame Vekic was really struggling at the end which clearly affected her mentality at least as she still played well .

    Well it’s 50-50!

It will be a tough match for Jasmin. BK has won a slam, won doubles on grass and I think her seeding of 31 was too low. She was once world number two.

    But I’m hopeful Italy wins!

First serve percentages in the 50s was never going to get it done for Rybakina. Well done to the winner.

Such an unpredictable tournament whoever bet on the 2 finalists making it will be pretty well off.

Yup and an 8th different champion in 8 years now on Saturday.

I so hope it’s JP. Her joy and enthusiasm is so wonderful to behold, and she lost in the final at Paris so it would be tough to lose two slams in a row at the last hurdle.

It’s bonkers that she had never won a singles match at Wimbledon before.

Good job BK lost in the doubles in the other day then as she will probably need a lot of energy v Paolini .

Probably repeating myself here but Sam Smith is a gord awful commentator. Has absolutely zero insight of what is going on, will rattle off a few stats and some info about the players histories that she probably wrote down but very little about what is going on in front of her eyes. And Rubin whatever he name was that was with her in the box, was talking about the Czech player pretty much the whole match and what she has to do, even when it was 1 set all. Hardly talked about Rybakina in the match, at one point Sam Smith had to ask her "so what does Rybakina have to do".

    Have to disagree.
Sam is extremely bright and engaging woman, decent player too,Rubin likewise and a level above as a competitor.
I didn't see the match, only the highlights now but how fitting that two ladies from such tennis nations are in the final.

Czechia and all of their previous guises, habitual producers of excellence and Italy with their superb tournament infrastructure are worthy of Saturday's title match.

Touching too for BK to mention Jana Novotna and then be brought to tears just as her mentor was years ago.

What a shame both can't win.
