Maybe Tsitsipas will win his 1st grand slam? Swiatek on the women's side probably.

Depends on the fitness of Alcaraz and Sinner I think and if he can return well, especially from the ad court when they kick it to his backhand.

His insistence on coming over it when returning is his Achilles heel,as Απόστολος shouts " slice it Στεφ" again and again!

Zverev (ufffffff) and Swietek I think.

I’d love it to be Rafa and Coco though.

Gasquet rolling back the years, takes the first set v Coric.

Richard has so much flair but above all he doesn't insist on the obligatory serve plus one forehand at all costs.

One of few to back around forehands to play backhands.

    French going potty!

Almost all French and most Italians,Sinner and his fellow Udine/German border compatriot Seppi are/were.

Mainly because the FIT and FFT coach the person and their game not mass produce as we try to.

All that effort to fight back for nothing.

    Yes!

Makes you wonder why you didn't just lose in three!

    The cruelest of sports, tennis.

Not for Gasquet who more than justifies his wild card.

Murray in a bit of bother too.

Former champion Krejčíková heading out potentially but did read she hadn't won a game in Paris since her success!

Think Babs' days as a singles player are done.

Probably the same for Murray, being out hit by Stan.

Perhaps Yonex view their deal with Murray as a lost leader?

I wonder how much it's worth?

Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour infinitely more entertaining than that match.

    How long will Murray continue?

He has every right to play for as long as he wishes but I'm not sure he's afforded prime slots these days.

I find it hard to believe anything with Rylan could be entertaining but hey ho lol

Nothing sadder than watching a great player of the past trudge on just for the sake of it.

I dread but suspect I will be saying the same about Rafa this summer too.

Maybe Borg had it right after all.

Tsitsi in three and finding his returns in the second and third sets.

Not sure about the Dortmund kit!

Fucsovics will regret being passive at set point in the tie break and rolling his first serve into play.

    Moments in time.

Mad as a cabbage Moutet beats Jarry and Nishikori wins in five, both Sunday.

Shelton giving it to the locals after beating Gaston in 4.

    How surprising!

Come on Rafa. Don’t lose to this obnoxious german

It’s such a shame he was ever able to play again after that injury

He will lose today but he’s still been the GOAT on clay.

    And a terrific person too.

Those idiots who revel in his demise today are totally classless and ignorant.

Roller coaster nature of tennis and its fabulous scoring.
Credit to Mr Van Alen and his tie break,a microcosm of a match.

What’s Zverev ever won eh? A serial loser and choker. 0 grand slams.

He might have his day in the sun today, and he might go on and win the whole thing, but he can’t hold a candle to Rafa career wise.

    He’s an arrogant nobody

Probably the worst possible match up for Rafa.

Heavy conditions mean his forehand has less jump.

Zverev is a Titan so his shots are right into his strike zone.

The crowd have certainly done their best for their favourite son but it was a tall order,no pun intended.

The German pig may have won today, but Rafa remains the greatest clay player and most likely always will be.

Form is temporary, class is permanent.

Is this the end for Rafa in Paris (Olympics pending)?

    Possibly.
He has a young son and probably will have other children.
    He has his academy.
Time to go fishing and consider,if he hasn't already done so.
Always charming to everyone whether they are press, staff or fans.
    Good luck to him.

Norrie in a real battle with Kotov of the big forehand and stomach!
Very similar game style to Karatsev, flat hitting both wings.
