...not his last 3 though, as those 3 defeats will be the intolerable losing streak which prompts Gino to reach for the reset button...

Probably hoping to record enough footage so they can deep fake him. They'll get a body double for the touchline in future games and the AI to do the interviews.

Be harsh I think but already lost more than Edwards and really are we any better defensively wise ?

    No way.

There's not a man, woman, aardvark left on the planet that can shape some kind of cohesive unit from this group of lilly livered, over paid, disparate mob.

3 losses from 5 games, Edwards was sacked for 2 losses from 10

It’s no exaggeration to say that Bilic is probably on the brink already

He’ll be given until the World Cup. I think he’ll go then. Probably why there’s a delay in getting D1cks or maybe they want to be able to sack him before they even employ him!!

Yep and again Gino will not change and take ownership of the f*cking **** show he has created.
I really hope if he's not going to sell that Giampaolo steps back in as it all fell apart when he fully gave the reigns to Gino mid 2018

Cannot begin to imagine who would come in next, or what they could possibly be expected to do with this toxic rabble after two coaches of essentially diametrically opposing profiles have failed to elicit any real response from them.

Particularly as the performances in the defeats have been very poor.

Worse than any under Edwards I suspect?

At least in those away games we actually seemed to play ok (Blackburn apart) but couldn't score our chances.

Pozzo said Edwards was sacked for performances and results - well he certainly cannot be very impressed so far.

I’d bet money on it being Munoz in next. Our championship seasons are now going to descend into the circus that our PL ones became as we spiral into oblivion, because our deluded despot owner genuinely believes we have a PL squad, when in reality it’s closer to L1. Just like he thought a team with Cathcart Masina and WTE in defence was good enough to stay in the PL.

Bilic bemoaning a potential lack of fitness in the team. What on earth were they actually doing in pre season? Because it certainly wasn't getting fit, or building a solid defensive shape, or developing any attacking patterns.

Feel for Bilic, he's having to clean up a real mess, with Dan Gosling at right back. Needs to be properly supported in January because from the sounds of it, he knows what the squad needs.

Agreed, and to those comparing Edwards to Billic, one had a pre season to prepare and try to implement some sort of style, whilst the others come in picking up pieces. That said I don't think a new head coach is going to make any difference with the dross, weak mentality we have here.

Gosling at RB, Pollock and WTE in the middle, and Louza who was supposed to be shielding the defence to let Asprilla play, carried off. It's no wonder we conceded 3, the bigger question is why we failed to score / threaten ourselves.

Another good result for John Eustace's Birmingham last night.

He’s taken a chaotic club with a poor and unbalanced squad and turned them into a side that are exceptionally well-drilled and battle for each other. On top of that he's brought discipline and has made changes around the club that have added a sense of cohesion. Shame that he made unreasonable demands like having a say in recruitment and training in his interview with us.

  24. Burnsy

Put Gaspar/Ngakia, Cathcart, Sierralta, Hause in there last night - and it would have been the same.

It was a mentality and preparation problem more than the players we had out there. Yes we were weakened - but the performance, effort and total lack of gameplan would have been the same regardless.

Sorry I disagree Burnsy. Hause and Sierralta would have dealt with those balls just hoisted into the box.

We lost 3-1 to a league one side with 3 defenders who played in the Premier League last season.

Blaming injuries for last night is just the usual Pozzo deflection tactics. Anything but admit to something that has been obvious for several years now.

Sierralta has been crap this season, Hause is a crock.

The answer is far more simple if you just care to finally embrace it, there is no shame in it.

Millwall have scored by far and away the most goals and shown the most danger from set pieces in this league to date. Simply saying those 2 would have nullified that fact ignores the actual fact itself.

Presumably you mean the answer to a different question than whether Hause and Sierralta would have fared better than Pollock & WTE ? Let's get it back onto your agenda....

  33. The undeniable truth

The undeniable truth First Team Captain

They clearly would have coped better given they are better in the air ??

  34. Burnsy

    Burnsy First Team

And there are better players in the air who played in the all the other games where Millwall dominated the set piece.

Saying they are better in the air doesn’t mean they were good enough to make a difference. Especially when Sierralta has been crap this season and Hause hasn’t even featured to a meaningful extent.

  35. The undeniable truth

The undeniable truth First Team Captain

    ??
Again I'm not sure what you are arguing with.
I'm just saying that Sierralta and Hause would have been a better proposition that Pollock and WTE vs Millwall so it's a shame choice was limited. I've not said that we wouldn't have conceded or would have won. Would still have been tough but it's not like Millwall are unbeatable and certain for a top 2 finish.
