Normally these things are traps set for Labour, so Tories and others OBSESS about something like transgender, write silly articles about how you can’t say ‘woman’ anymore or a hate mob will lynch you and then someone on the left replies and it’s YOU’RE OBSESSED! YOU THINK BRITAIN CARES ABOUT THIS!

But Starmer’s intervention on Bond was just nuts. No one had even mentioned it. It was like he had a short circuit or his brain just overloaded trying to think of something to endear himself to women.

Trans gender dominated the Labour Conference, people were threatened over it, assaulted in the toilets over it, refused to attend over it, abused from the podium over the mic without intervention over it, and all without a tory in sight.

It is not tory obfuscation. It is Labour auto-ruination.

Just when it was going well for Labour and the spotlight was being fiercely shone upon Tories with noses in the trough, a juicy story emerges that Charlotte Nichols, Lab Warrington, got so pissed on a flight to visit troops in Gibraltar that she needed a wheelchair.

Ok, how reliable the story is may be the subject of some debate, but the ability of Labour MPs to derail progress appears undiminished.

A majority of the Children of ARRSE seem to think this is very appropriate behaviour when visiting troops.

73 Labour members protesting about Sandwell Labour council for overt and very egregious racist behaviour. The language used in the article and the behaviour described by Labour members, from minority backgrounds, against which the protest was organised, is stunning, and is more in keeping with the NF or BNP.

    https://www.google.com/search?q=sandwell council&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-b-m

Have a read, and ask yourself what the reaction would be if this were a Tory council. And just remember, this is an ongoing, years old, if not decades, problem for Labour that just does not manifest itself in the Conservative party, no matter how much some like to say it does.

Edit: Hearing also that council tenants are being evicted or threatened with eviction for disagreeing with the council, mentioned without challenge in the commons, and that the council leader resigned out of the blue for “personal” reasons last week.

Seems, in terms of team leadership, they operate a model similar to the Pozzos, having now had five leaders in three years.

Let us hope this is a sign of it being sorted out, rather than of things getting worse.

What is it about the virtue signalling party of anti racism that attracts so many died in the wool racists? That thing again of the left going so far to the left that they end up coming around to the extreme right.

Not only do they indulge in the very modern revenge racism of CRT, with Starmer taking the knee in his office, white people are born racist and all that, but they also indulge the more old fashioned forms such as ant-Semitism and islsmophobia. Probably the most blatantly open racist mainstream party ever, and for all the talk, they are doing nothing.

Here's one of Labour's anti-Semite members, who was employed by the cabinet office to give diversity training.

    https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/...nur-rahman-wished-death-on-zionists-dhtxcbx2r

A couple of years ago you'd think it was all BS, all these stories about the people's party being, in reality, the party of racism, but they continue to provide proof time after time that racism is an inescapable part of their institution. So that's the neutral, civil service cabinet office employing an openly anti-Semetic member of the Labour party to give diversity training.

    You couldn't make it up.

There is s swamp needs draining, of certain Conservatives for sure, but the entire Labour party and its true underlying values, which keep floating to the top, also needs some serious attention.

Tony Blair’s knighthood has come through at last. I guess the block it was causing for all subsequent PM’s getting honours meant Queenie had to bite the bullet. Appointed him Order of the Garter too, which is the like the business class lounge for honours recipients.

You do wonder what it would take to disqualify a former PM. Clearly starting an illegal war was not enough.

Clearly the Iraq war was not Tony Blair's finest hour, but for me, his part (with others) in ending "The Troubles", is 10 times more important......

    Maybe

But we couldn't have a "war on terror," from Dubyas USA if the Boston bars were still collecting
for "the boys" . Wouldn't look good in Murdoch's noospapers .

One of the most divisive Labour figures gets honoured, causing internal unrest amongst Labour supporters, just when the Tories are turning against Johnson? I'm sure that's just a coincidence.

Quick chance for everyone to be reminded of Tony "Illegal War" Blair's 'crimes'.

In completely unrelated news: we're at over 172000 covid deaths (given as cause of death certificate).

I often wonder how many UK citizens died as a direct result of Johnson's refusal to close travel links with India, for purely political reasons.

Much as I think the government has made a lot of mistakes, I think the unfortunate reality is that by the time a new variant is identified it's already too late to stop it getting in. At best you might slow down the initial outbreak a bit.

Even if it's a number greater than, or equal to '1' de Pfeffel should be hounded from office & prosecuted on a charge of corporate manslaughter.

  21. Apparently for Queeny the issue was not the Iraq War but his role in the funeral of The Peeple's Princess.

  22. V Crabro

That may be the case - but IIRC the Government banned inbound travel from Pakistan and Bangladesh, whilst allowing thousands to fly in from India, which was the epicentre of the new variant.......

Hopefully people will see how vacuous and dishonest it is from both parties.

Neither side can call themselves patriots until they ensure their all fellow citizens are fed and housed.

Just read that Sir Kier Starmer defends Tony Blair's knighthood whilst in the same breath says Boris Johnson doesn't deserve one. And people wonder why politics is ridiculed in this country. It's honestly like something I'd expect to hear in a playground.

Heard Lord Snooty-Smarmer make that comment this morning. As you rightly say, it's little wonder they are all held in such contempt. Had enjoyed the last week & a half without sodding politicians in our faces every five minutes. Five words that COULD scare the living daylights out of everyone in the country after the next election....."Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner."

Still, could be worse. The Devolved Dictators Drakeford & Sturgeon have right royally shafted the people they claim to represent over the last couple of weeks. John Major didn't get much right as PM, but he predicted devolution would be an utter poo-storm 25 years ago.

The whole honours system has become a politicised joke anyway. In my opinion no politicians, actors or sports "personalities" should get honours. They already get well rewarded for doing the jobs they want to do anyway.

The honours should be reserved for ordinary people that have done extraordinary things imho.

Tony Blair was PM for over a decade, was elected three times and is the only living Labour ex-PM.

Any PM who serves for that long will make massive errors, as he did, but few will do something as groundbreaking as stopping the Irish troubles.

Boris Johnson has been PM for a couple of years, he’s been mired in sleaze scandals and has dealt with covid in a mixed way.

Surely it’s an entirely sensible position to take? Or at the very least, that Blair deserves one much more than Boris.

Starting an illegal war is a bit more than a simple "error".

I accept mistakes can be made, but lying to the public in order to start a war is not a forgivable one.

No I’m comparing someone’s total achievements being little more than having a glass of wine with work colleagues, against a decade of achievements including stopping the Troubles, vastly improving NHS waiting times and being elected three times for a party which has been pretty much unelectable in living memory.

And overlooking the war that he started. PS I'm not sure that Blair can take all the credit for the progress made in Ireland

No Mike it's not anything as complicated as that. Starmer didn't even have to mention the current PM to make his position clear on Blair. I agree with him that Blair should receive it, as should those who followed him as a thank you for the position held and work done whilst in office, (apart from May).

  35. Being the good Tory that you are, I'm sure you were all for that war like the rest of them.
