We drew 0-0 with them twice.

+67 goal difference and 106 points is obscenely good.

Living in Reading I was over the moon with those results. Games were beyond gash but every time they stick their head over the parapet about the “106” I can at least remind them, “you didn’t beat us though did you?”

TBH, quite a few fans I know were sick of the 106 point chant they sing long before this COVID break. Believe it was pretty hollow based on how poor they’ve been recently, although good this season. Maybe Forest fans could learn a thing or two from them!

Best ever in the Championship in my view, despite what they'll tell you in Wolverhampton.

Preston must have had a lot of 0-0 draws that season.

During the 14/15 season it seems we topped the table for 5 games. If we only top the table once this season please let it be after game 46.

It was those games that prevented them from getting 100 goals, in fact they didn't score against us in four attempts in 2005/06 and 2006/07! No recollection at all about those games being bad though, all I remember is that they were very creditable results against an awesome team and part of why 2005/06 was such a great season. Admittedly the 0-0 against them in the Premiership was pretty poor, but having never liked Reading much it gave me pleasure to beat them 2-0 at their patch in comical style in a game which was virtually meaningless to us, thus making them miss out on a UEFA Cup place by a mere point.

Their low goals for total was due in part to the fact they had a very poor start and didn't win at home until November. Funnily enough in the end, I was relieved Leeds beat them because they were the team I wanted to avoid the most.

19 different scorers this season - when was the last time that happened for us? Is that the most different goal scorers of any side in the division?

Femenia, Hungbo and Success the likeliest to join the club, one would think.

I wonder if the team are aware of this and will be going for that record?

Just need to concede no more than one goal in the last two games.

Though actually, there was football before the Championship and Sunderland only conceded 28 goals in 1998/99. Wonder if that's the record for lowest goals conceded per game in the second tier? If so, we can at least set a joint record!

It gets mentioned often that we have best defence in the division , but we actually have the best defence in the league and EPL.

Not seen this mentioned anywhere .

City come nearest conceding 0.72 gpg, Watford are clearly ahead with 0.63 gpg.

A few random stats from our season, which I hope you will enjoy.

At the halfway point of the season, we’d scored only 5 goals away from home. That was the lowest in the division.

We won 46% of matches in which Troy played in this season and 81% of those in which he didn’t.

Since arriving from Chile in 2017, Sierralta had started only 13 games before moving to us. He played just 3 minutes in our opening 19 league games this season before getting his big break. The rest is history!

We’ve allowed only 108 shots on target against us this season, by far and away the best in the division. The rest of the top 5 average 142.

    We’ve won eleven matches 1-0.

Sarr is the most fouled player in the Championship.

In his eleven matches in charge in Georgia, Muñoz had no drawn games. With us he’s only had three. So as a manager he’s been in charge for 36 games combined and only drawn 3 of them. He’s won 29 and lost 7.

Does that mean we should get something like a 1 - 1 draw next time we play them?

Let's be fair, only a few seasons ago we came close to beating City, 1-0 up and into the last 10 minutes before they inevitably scored 2 late goals :(

Appreciate there are still two rounds of fixtures to go, but I just wanted to thank you for your outstanding effort to maintain this throughout the season @Hornet77 .

The amount of data behind this isn’t lost on me, and I’ve found myself tracking this every week, without fail. Admittedly it’s perhaps caused my blood pressure to rise a little in some games during the second half of the season as we were trying to make up ground on those above us, but I think it has also helped to appreciate just how incredible our turn of form has been over the past 16 games, and how impressive we have been at the back. Not letting in more than 2 in a game all season would be something special, so hopefully we don’t ruin that one in the next couple of games!

We really would have walked it this year had we started better.

Look forward to tracking the 40 point line once again next season! Thanks for the great graphics!

Second what Ashdon has said. Hopefully we will avoid defeat on Saturday and we will not have suffered back to back defeats all season which is a fairly rare beast in itself.

Here's a breakdown of our results this season:-

    1-0 wins = 11
    2-0 wins = 4
    2-1 wins = 3
    3-0 wins = 1
    3-1 wins = 1
    3-2 wins = 3
    4-1 wins = 2
    6-0 wins = 1

    0-0 draws = 5
    1-1 draws = 5

    0-1 defeats = 5
    1-2 defeats = 2
    0-2 defeats = 1

Quite incredible to have 11 x 1-0 victories. Four of those 1-0's were won with a penalty.

We were awarded and converted 10 penalties. The most in the Championship.

No one has so far (Swansea might) got the double over us. However, we got the double over 7 clubs. Blackburn, Preston, Norwich, Derby, Stoke, Rotherham & Birmingham,

We are the only side in the Championship not to lose back-to-back games (yet). Avoid defeat against Brentford and that record will remain in tact.

If we win against Swansea, we would have achieved the best home record in Watford's entire history.

    Great stats.

Would also add, the fact we haven't conceded 3+ goals in a single game is a huge achievement as well.

Think we’re the only team in the league to do that this season (so far).

I pointed out the other day that we have scored against all 23 teams.

    We never conceded against:
Sheffield Wednesday, Bristol City, Nottingham Forest, Birmingham, Norwich and Millwall.

Only 8 teams scored more than 1 against us in total this season (of course Brentford would do that by scoring on Saturday).

Only Stoke, Blackburn and QPR have scored 3 against us this season across two games, and apart from QPR we still did the double over the other two.

Just spawning a goal in 2 of those 0-0 draws or not letting sides like Wycombe equalising, we’d have walked top spot.
