His passing certainly looked ropey, but he didn't look like the total and utter defensive disaster that he does now in the PL.
Scenes when he's injured and we don't get him at all! In all seriousness, is this a sign that they're getting a new CB and that we're keeping Nkoulou, or maybe he's not quite fit yet, and Udinese are waiting before he is before sending Samir over to us?
I'm guessing the latter although it sounds like Nkoulou won't be back for a good few weeks. Unless Kabasele is going there? I would have preferred Samir to get some minutes against Leicester so he could get a feel for the pace of the game.
Sorry, this seems like madness - if we're signing him to be our new starter, why the fucck would we allow him to just head off on one last jolly and play another game, therefore risking all manner of injury, for another team?! On top of that, given how pathetically shyt and disorganised our defence is, what possible reason could there be in the world not to have him spending every waking second possible training with us, his new team, to try and develop some familiarity with what players and system we are planning to employ?
At any other club it would be madness. Here it's the sort of par for the course lunacy I fully expect to be true.
The most important game of our season is coming up vs Newcastle. It’s madness not to have got him over and integrated him with team mates and tactics before that game. As things stand it will be Cathcart and WTE playing in that crucial game. Surely can’t throw him in for a debut in such a crucial match ?
Seems to me that maybe having been over and seen us that he has possibly decided he does not want to join us after all?
I’d imagine we’ve upset the owners of Udinese. You don’t want to cross them, they don’t do bad business.
It's a good job we didn't send Samir back to Udinese only for Udinese to then get a covid outbreak and postpone their game tomorrow. Oh wait...
This tweet wasn't from Udinese it was from some user called TuttoFantacalcio so maybe everyone wetting their g strings need to chill out
It was reported on Udinese Blog this morning along with an article explaining the reason why he was in Italy.
According to @LouOrns though, this is a legit possible outcome thanks to covid-worries in the Udinese camp, so I'm afraid it's looking likely we'll have to keep them on wet for now, and you'll have to wait a bit before you can commence sniffing.
Looks like their match tomorrow won’t take place due to Covid. This could mean that a) Samir will be announced v quickly and come as they won’t be keeping him around for a cancelled match b) that Samir could have caught Covid as a result of going back and/or c) that Samir could arrive and bring covid to the whole Watford squad (again).
Surely Samir would've had to have tested before he came to the UK and when he came to the training ground!?
Or D) Their Covid outbreak is bad, and coupled with their fans anger at giving another player to us, they’ve decided to keep him.
Perhaps another couple of postponements might suit us, as it would give us a chance to bring in all the new recruits and get them up to speed, and we will also be closer to getting our AFCON absentees back too
