He has also been a weak point defensively. If I was an opposition manager now I would target TDB as a weakness in the middle who should be targeted, and from there I'd put deep crosses in towards Andrews and attack the far post.
He’s come through our youth system and not been good enough for a bigger team to steal him for peanuts. What were fans expecting?
Probably didn't help he was a bit part player I think and then broke his ankle in a game v Peterborough. Think he did ok elswhere?
Strangely he went to Cambridge and then Peterborough on loan scoring 4 goals on his debut for Peterborough v Barnet! played 9 games for Palace in the Premiership without scoring but had a reasonable journeyman career!
I looked at his stats for us https://watford.fcdb.info/index.php?page=matches&p=4&o=&q="wayne+andrews"&mf= He only played 37 matches for the Horns, I reckon I only saw him in 4 matches (3 of those he came on as a sub) due to me living in Germany on my Industrial Year at University for the 96/97 season, he only played once in 95/96 (I didn't go to that game), and a few at the beginning of 97/98, I was still away but I would have been there for his last match at home to Sheffield Utd. I never saw him score for us. It's probably why I have no recollection of him.
