Probably wrong here, but looking at the type of players Tom is trying to get in he's using a sensible approach of "I want them if they are proven or they fit with what I want" (sissoko?) - or "theyre young and cheapish and I've seen enough to believe I can coach them to be a decent player for us". (Rocco) So maybe at last an END to the usual WFC approach of "he's a bit old/been injured a lot/never played in UK/highly rated by his agent.... , but there's a video out there showing he used to be decent"..... (Rose/Ince/Tufan++?) I'm in.... (Cue the sudden purchase next week of a complete donkey eh?)

I've just been reading Rocco's profile on the clubs official site, and it sounds like he knows where the goal is!!! If this kid can continue to do so at Championship level, we might just have a real winner on our hands.
Hopefully he'll be more of a Mo Johnson, who was probably one of our top five strikers of all time!!!

If you re-read the first comment of mine which I made and re-quoted, it states: "Maybe he can fill in as a CF, or will become one in a few years, but it doesn't seem his favoured natural position at the moment. We'll surely still be looking for another first choice CF." ... and what you have quoted there does not contradict what I have said. In fact it agrees exactly with what I had said and the point I was making (that he's primarily a 10 and coming here to play as a 10, more so than replacing Bayovic).

Clevs' comment says he can fill in there, but doesn't indicate that we're converting him to that being his main position long-term. It's drizzling outside you patronising sod.
Seen a godawful chant for him that people are trying to get going in pre season. Lots of mumbling to the The Cranberries "Linger" ending with the nonsense line 'do you have to Rocco Vata?' Hoping it won't take off.
