Should have explained better, by slower league I meant Italy, Spain, Holland rather than the rough and tumble of the Championship! Guessing he might be more motivated there with a fresh start.
Very close to re-joining Udinese. https://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/ser...-a-un-passo-dal-ritorno-in-bianconero-1436426
They might be the only club prepared to cough up enough dough. I know it's only a transfer from one Pozzo account to another, but it still counts with regards to the EFL's FFP rules and our accounts. Or alternatively, it might be where Bobby actually wants to go.
He is mates with lots of players in that squad like Okaka, Musso, De Paul, Pussetto (if/when he goes back).
Well he's possibly going there as a replacement for de Paul, Pussetto looks like he's staying here, also heard that Okaka might be off to Turkey. Is Musso still there, I thought Conte was Inter-ested in him
Signing Pereyra to replace De Paul might be even more depressing than us signing Craig Dawson to fix our defensive issues last season.
Except Pereyra might actually do well back in Serie A. Dawson was a punt based on what he had done in previous years (under Tony Pulis) at West Brom, but he'd had a bad year before we signed him...
If we end up keeping Pereyra and Pussetto in the champ I will laugh. Or cry. Not going to bully their way through this league!
Hanging around like a lingering fart now....I wished him well a month ago but desperately just want him gone and off the wage bill now!
Di Marzio claiming Pereyra is going to Udinese in at attempt to keep De Paul, not as his direct replacement.
That extract you shared said “register two NEW non-EU players.” So surely if De Paul stays that wouldn’t count as he is not a new player.
I think its more a social thing than a sporting thing. They are good friends and have holidayed together, according to their instragram accounts. No idea if that would be persuasive, but I think that is what people are suggesting. Not "strick around, RDP, with Pereyra, we'll definitely get into the Champions League" or anything like that
Hopefully they can give back some of the tens of millions we've passed them for crap like Peneranda, Pussetto and Success. Did we pay fees for Sierelta and Perica too?
I look forward to them trying to do the same with Sarr in a years time. "What's that mate? You will stick around if we bring a friend of yours here? Sure! Who? Oh, Ok, when you say Mane, do you mean THE Mane...? Crap"
Sorry to see him go, but is totally understandable. Was so excited when he signed, and he had his good moments. The start of the Gracia full season and he was key to those 4 straight wins. Wonderful talent, but his time had run his course at Watford. I wish him all the best back at Udinese.
Was always a square peg in a round hole, he needed to play in a possession based system not 4 years of hoof to Deeney Glad we enjoyed glimpses of how good he might have been, one of the top 10 all time talents to have played for Watford Also a lovely bloke, always brilliant with the fans
He promised so much and on his day he was brilliant, but sadly his day did not come around often enough while he was with us, so I am not sad to see him go. How much is this off the wage bill, a lot I hope?
