According to a reliable source he is to be our new manager and will be announced this week. http://www1.skysports.com/football/...roberto-di-matteo-wants-to-be-a-manager-again Discuss.
A bit of triangulation. Call it circumstantial evidence, if you like. The rumours are saturating twitter as we speak. Do your own work.
I find it a little hard to believe that we would be able to attract Di Matteo, and that we would sack Sannino. If we were going to part ways with Sannino, I'm sure we would have done so by now.
I've merely taken what's already been posted on twitter. I have no opinion either way - we all know what twitter is like, but I'm told the source (Stuart someone) is very reliable and has contacts within the club.
@lowerrous? He is not ITK, he guesses based on rumours. RDM is not coming here, I'd be very to look like a *** and be wrong, but he's not coming here. To put it in perspective, he was on the United short list.
His/her inside contacts would have to be either Nani, Duxbury or Pozzo Jr because they dont casually chat amongst the staff about appointments like that. He may or may not be coming (I personally doubt it but would love it if he did) but I feel pretty sure that someone with "contacts within the club" wouldnt likely be privy to that sort of knowledge.
As I said, I've merely brought the rumour to the forum. If I didn't, someone else would have. I have no opinion on this or any knowledge if this carries any substance at all.
This is absolute nonsense. What a waste of time. The bloke on Twitter seems to think he will be announced at 8 am on Friday. A pretty specific prediction and an odd time to announce it if it is 'done'. What tripe.
If they're going to announce it, why wait until Friday? If they've agreed it, why would they say that they're going to announce it later, rather than there and then? And why would they disclose this to some nobody on Twitter, anyway?
In order to make a statement, the Pozzos will be announcing the arrival of Di Matteo, the return of Tommy Smith, Matej Vydra will be leading the line with Deeney, and conformation of Tozser signing a 3 year deal. Not to forget that this will happen, finally, on a Thursday.
He now claims that his source is just some bloke on Facebook who apparently told us about Dyer and Gomes a week before they happened. Twaddle.
I would go down the bookies tomorrow morning and ask if they would give you odds just in case! Perhaps get Steve Clarke in as assistant manager as well?
One thing I do find interesting is that Eintracht Frankfurt gave Di Matteo until the end of last week to let them know whether he wanted to become their new coach or not. This was allegedly due to Di Matteo becoming hesitant amid interest from England and Swiss club FC Basel. Make of that what you will.
I may be wrong but think de matteo is getting paid by Chelsea until the end of this month ? That's why he has not taken another job
Does anyone actually know when this is from? Because I'm fairly sure he used to come to a few games when Zola was in charge, purely because they were mates and nothing more.
Here's the picture that's going around: He's with Zola's son I believe so I think it's a pretty old picture. He has been to a few games though. Where has the whole "he's mates with the Pozzos" thing come from?
I think you're right. Someone on twitter did say that RDM had been at several games since Zola left, however.
It's summer, papers are having to fill in until the World Cup. Sannino will be manager next season. As someone else said, there has been too much upheaval. I will look over at the first home game next season and Bepe wil still be the manager, coach or whatever he's called.
http://www.udineseblog.it/articolo/...tion-_No-comma-_rimane_agli_Hornets/42/174657 Beppe stays manager.
Can we make a forum ITK Watford account on twitter and see how far the rumours can spread? Literally one person can say one thing and everyone believes it.
