The Daily Express is surely a parody paper. They somehow manage to nail the complete opposite of the truth every day - presumably because the "express" part indicates how much time has been spent researching the story.

Hmmm I think you’ll find they all experienced some hot days in 1970 something or whatever, and so are well equipped for this little uptick in balmy weather. It’s only the woke snowflakes, critical race theory believers, lazy civil servants and dinghy people who are worrying.

‘Snowflake Britain’ according to Daily Mail hacks working from home, writing for an ageing audience with little else to do than watch Countdown. No sympathy for people working in essential services or for the great job done in schools and care homes yesterday, evidenced by TV reports. There has been something of a counter-revolution in this Country. The wealthy have found the politics and the channels to fight their class and culture war with hundreds of well-paid footsoldiers, like Grimes and Hartley-Brewer. Whatever happens at the next election, this genie isn’t going back in the bottle and these hundreds upon hundreds of pay schoolers, assorted oddballs and working class traitors will continue to set a belligerent agenda.
Has anyone else been following the Alex Bellfield court case. He has a youtube channel - The Voice of Reason. don't think it's our TVOR and amazinglying the judge has allowed him to factually report his own case as it continues. He comes across as a bit of a **** but the years of alledged indimidation he's received from the BBC, BBC lawyers and the Nottinghamshire police are certainly an eye opener. As is the sheer incompetence of the Nottinghamshire Police. They're trying to prosecute him with 8 counts of stalking (electronic not in person) and his defence is that he's a journalist & broadcaster. I'll stop short of saying any more as it's an ongoing trial other than to say it puts a serious dent in any trust of the police or media.
Edit - This is the alleged stalker of Jeremy Vine and several other BBC staff. This transphobic conspiraloon Alex Bellfield? Read his Twitter timeline and you can take a guess about which direction there has been intimidation. What are the BBC and Police supposed to have done?
Don't do twitter. As I said not a fan of the man but but it's an interesting case as the reporting on it is very unusual. It comes across as the police being fairly incompetent whether you like the bloke or not.
I haven’t read it up either, but stalking is one very hard behaviour to police let alone be on the receiving end of.

He said on his own YouTube channel that it was a waste of time and that the police were incompetent and the BBC were bullies, leading to 'a serious dent in any trust of the police and the media'. Presumably the response is now not to trust the court system either, rather than stopping to think about whether it's sensible to take hyper partisan sources at face value...
