Maybe there’s a Phil Collins, Steve Winwood or Chris De Burgh thread that would suit you. ;)

    Not really!
I just don’t see how NMA can be considered legends unless The Alarm, the Members etc are also legends ? In other words “any act we can remember from the 80s and 90s”.

Watford ‘legends’ include almost anyone who has pulled on a yellow/gold shirt. Albert McClenaghan is a Watford ‘legend’.

It’s not really much more than ‘wow, they are still around/I vaguely remember’. And NMA are legends to many of their 150k monthly listeners on Spotify. It’s not a serious award.

Legend doesn't necessarily mean successful but can mean remembered particularly in a fondly nostalgic way. NMA had some fantastic bass lines to boot or should I say to clog.

Just for this one song makes The Members, legends:

Sorry, but this is good and gives a good flavour of the GLC summer day festivals which were brilliant. I went to the one in Battersea Park in 1985 primarily to see The Three Johns and Billy Bragg, but there were some fantastic reggae acts there too.
