I can’t. And that being the case I don’t know why the rule makers don’t just get rid of that time wasting pantomime and just skip to the VAR making the decision.

    Have to say I don’t.

Mainly because the on field ref probably thinks he has got it wrong so has to change his decision.

On this occasion was the right call .

It’s a bit of theatre so that a third party can referee games to an outcome they want.

I hadn’t thought of that but yeah it is similar. Rodgers is slightly less blatant about it than dear old Roy though, he’s got his next job to think about.

I take it a sinkhole didn’t open up at SJP and swallow these two sets of evil, plastic scumbags then?

I thought the red was correct. Yes he’s just trying to be cynical but he makes no attempt to play the ball and throws himself at KDB knee when he is in full flight. Terrible tackle could easily have put KDB out for months. Pretty sure ref wanted to stay with his decision as well, but bottled it as his mate had sent him to review.

Think he probably had to overturn it by the letter of the law but this type of professional spoiling foul is high on my list of ones I think should be punished by a red card even if no injury ensues. Maybe a sin bin visit would be a fairer punishment but that’s obviously even less likely an option.

I agree completely. Any tackle that risks serious injury - be it intentional or accidental should be a straight red card regardless of the player or team involved. You don't VAR it - he's off and a three game ban/fine. Two footed challenges carry this sort of punishment, and so should anything on that level.

There was a Rangers player sent off yesterday for such a foul - the pundits thought it was harsh and said it's part of the game but I wonder how much pressure this ref felt from the home crowd and VAR telling him he was wrong.

It could actually be an enjoyable watch this season. As @a19tgg said there are no sitting ducks this season to make up the bottom 3. Fun watching Our friends on the Sth coast getting stuffed.

  23. I have zero feelings for man United so it doesn't bother me. I don't know any man u fans personally, maybe a couple at work but not enough to bother me either way.

    Liverpool on the other hand...

To the nearest 100,how many podcasters, vloggers, cloggers etc do $ky use?

Every time I watch transfer news they have a different person on their panel.

I might set Persephone up as an ITK cat.

When he came on he and Chas engaged in a diving contest.
Chas then proceeded to play keepy uppy by the touchline until Johnson booted him up in the air.
    Odd chap Chas.

  34. It was the final Mark Goldbridge's (Manchester United) Transfer hub on Sunday.

Still talked about man utd for 50 minutes of the show and gave the rest of the premier league the honour of about 5 minutes combined, even managing to turn other clubs news into man utd gossip.

He must get good listener numbers as he's not been cancelled, but can only assume the majority are united fans. I listened in hope of it having gotten better since I last posted about this show but no.

They're back in January apparently. So talksport obviously don't mind his sh*tshow of a show or have nothing better at that slot, though I find that hard to imagine.

Hopefully the boot room is back in at 8pm or they bring Transworld forward an hour.

I hope he's not back on I'm January, or they move him to 3am or something.
