I'm hearing this is why we didn't sign him for £5m last time we were in the champ. Failed to meet our high ethical standards policy.

It was announced that he was under investigation a few weeks ago before the squad was announced (https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/63530959) so that's most likely the reason why.

Looks like exactly the kind of player who will step into a **** team in a relegation scrap and save them.

Bournemouth the latest club to be taken over by the Americans.

I've just been served at Waitrose by Eberechi Eze!

    Cheery little chap.

Typical Waitrose,I only have Jordan Rhodes at Lidl!

@Filbert nice to see a Watfordy like start to a game from Leicester. Bit like a tribute act really. Top marks to Daniel ‘Kabasele’ Amartay for a brainless foul in the box inside 2 minutes.

I don’t acknowledge Newcastle as a football team so I’m not watching and was napping when the game kicked off.

I’m not surprised that the team isn’t remotely prepared for a game of football however, they can’t handle periods of rest at all, I guess the players just aren’t very fit.

He'll be back soon as not!
They'll soon tire of his finger eating, gibbering nonsense.
However as you say, whatever made them appoint him in the first instance?

I notice Guardiola saying Haaland has been playing with a foot injury since October.

Goodness knows what he would be like at full fitness.

Just seen this on the Bournemouth forum :

“our game management has always been poor at this level
other teams clearly spend training time perfecting ref management and time wasting tactics
for pretty much every decision yesterday at least one palace player was in the refs ear, even for throw-ins, not aggressively but sewing seeds for the next decision
    we look amateurish in comparison”

Must be missing Eddie Howe even more than you’d image!

Petty I know but very much enjoyed Klopp whinging about the slightest touch on his defender being a foul today. Didn't hear a peep of an apology out of him when Van Dijk shoved Deulofeu put him out for the season because he was frustrated that they were being run ragged.

Apparently Brentford are the new Wimbledon..

All because they scored from a set play or two ?

Liverpool should have been stronger and stood up to it then .

To be fair, plenty of ‘Watford fans’ on the day called it ‘one of those things’, ‘unfortunate’ and that his injury wouldn’t stop us staying up on the match thread.

Can’t stand Van Dijk, one of the most overrated players of all time and I punched the air when karma caught up with him and his Dutch band of former Watford misfits missed penalties at the World Cup.

Comforting to see that Jason Tindall is still the obnoxious sap that he was on the south coast.

Kicking the ball away from the Arsenal player wanting to take a throw.

How can you draw at Man City then be so poor at home in the next game ?

Albeit Brighton are an excellent side .

  24. Listening to H&J on talksport earlier and the pundit they had on (not sure who it was) was saying "the man city result showed what a good manager frank is and I can see them beating Brighton and going on a mini revival".

I was shouting at the radio in the car "no it didn't show what a good manager he was. Man city had 75% possession and a gazillion shots and frank got lucky with a wonder strike. They'll probably lose tonight as they're rubbish you idiot pundit".

So it was nice to see that result tonight.

One of them is a Chelsea fan so probably very pro Lampard .

Arteta must use up more energy and run more than some players !!

I am not sure they were “scandalous “ decisions not to give Arsenal a penalty but seen those handballs given .

Newcastle were the masters of timewasting and dark arts last night...Saint Eddie at it again. If his surname was Pulis he would have been hung out to dry for their antics last night.

The ball was in play for 43:17.

This after complaining about Leeds doing it at the weekend.

It's in his DNA like with so many managers.

As you say the mild mannered voice and boyish looks means Howe gets away with it.

Shame the penalty wasn't given at the end (would have been harsh though) just to wipe the smugness off.

Mind you Arteta isn't much better trying to influence things.

I don’t know, anything that denies a state owned club winning the league is preferable to me, even if it is Arsenal. Anything that sees City or Newcastle lose a game or do badly supersedes everything else as far as I’m concerned.

Kane appears to be a midfielder,Son is a shadow of his former self and poor Skipp is all over the place although he has hardly played.
