We might not know which players are still contracted by the club, but we do have dates for two friendlies!

5th July, 7.30pm, Boreham Wood, Meadow Park
18th July, 7.45pm, Stevenage, Lamex Stadium

Also, Geoff from the chippy said all our opposition sides in pre season will be kitted out as Manchester City, because VI wants to strike the fear of god into our players. He then wants them to conquer that fear and grow stronger from it. :)

Stevenage away. Can't wait. Who are Luton playing that week? Barcelona?

I hope we are going to play a proper premiership club….like Luton town!

edit: I’m off to take a shower now, as I felt dirty even writing that.

At least one will be the Under 23s/Youth team probably.

Hibs away would be excellent - Edinburgh is a great city to visit and you can walk to Hibs from the city centre, with a number of decent pubs dotted along the way.

Ekong isn’t coming back according to some of those at the event the event. Apparently afterwards fans asked about certain players and Duxbury was very clear that Ekong is not coming back. Was music to my ears when I saw that.

Our best XI of the players returning on Monday is shocking.

    Okoye
    Pollock
    Sierralta
    Hoedt
    Andrews
    Dele-Bashiru
    Kayembe
    Morris
    Hungbo
    Bayo
    Kalu

VI is in for a shock.

I would be disappointed if more than two of those players actually started the first game, Hoedt and Andrews possibily.

Obviously we won't start with that squad (including international duty) come the first game of the season but if we did they'd probably be in a relegation scrap.

Well the good newx is the transfer window has been open for only a few days there is still hope we can get a few new faces in before the season begins. But that full squad list has relegation contenders all over it. Bad news is all we have is rumors of possible transfer targets and with limited funds we are going to be offering money with chocolate and flowers to bribe a protential signing from another club. But then again Bayo is going to score 50 goals.

So it begins. Is that Hungbo, Bayo, Kaba, and Kayembe? (And one other in the back I can't make out)
Obviously no guarantees the picture is actually from today.

I recognise Bayo, Kayembe from the silhouettes. Maybe Hungbo is the nearest player, Kabs on his left shoulder? Furthest player scratching his head, not a clue.

Holding his head in despair.......yes, probably is a new member of the training staff just realising how sh1t these players really are.

Player holding his head is obviously Sarr. You can just see the body language...

    "Why am I still here..."
"Get me out of this club..."
"I cannot work with a new situation three times a season..."
"Gino looked weird with that beard..."

I'd give players like Hungbo his chance. Hunger is a great quality. VI needs to make sure fitness is optimal this time around. Too many pre-seasons now where the players have looked out of puff after an hour. Our conditioning team along with the medical side needs a kick up the pants too.

Half of the list mentioned need to be gone before the seasons starts. Poor technically, poor mentally and otherwise over the hill. If we can get a psychologist in to help VI all the better too.

I must admit I'm disappointed to see Kayembe, Kabs, Hungbo in the first training clip posted. I know they are still our players and we have to train them and allow VI to take a look, but if we really are a top EFL club, as SD has stated, then they can't be part of the setup. I'd give Bayo a chance though, and Hungbo at a push as a backup option.
