True. But I would genuinely implore people not to share the name publicly on here if they hear it. It’s a good player and club won’t want it leaked.
Prefer Funboy 3 version. Written by Terry Hall and Jane Wiedlin, who I think were a couple at the time, hence the versions by both bands.....
So have the New York Times. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5716358/2024/08/22/pierre-dwomoh-watford-transfers/
Not heard of him but last winter he was linked with various European clubs https://sempreinter.com/2023/12/24/inter-lazio-porto-leiecster-city-all-tracking-pierre-dwomoh/ And a month ago Toronto had apparently almost sealed the deal for him: https://mlsmultiplex.com/posts/toro...ect-after-successful-negotiation-01j3p7t82f51 Apparently them up the road were also keen at one point earlier in the summer too: https://x.com/sachatavolieri/status/1795863140522995839?s=46
Decent ball carrier, ok defensively. Looks a good value Kone replacement with plenty of upside for me. If the fee's correct (Levanthal claims €1m but reports over the summer had him as joining Toronto for €4m which is a pretty heft drop in value) then it looks a good piece of business to me. Capped for the Belgian U21 team, played a lot of minutes in Belgium last season.
As with Keben another 20 year-old with 1 year left on their current contract. Also seems someone who maybe won't start every week yet but who should be alright as a rotation option for the time being with a view to them hopefully improving over a season or two. Seems very much a defensive minded, ball-winning midfielder at the moment, and probably is another indication that Elan Ricardo isn't happening any more. Slightly more reassuring stats than Keben, albeit playing in the slightly weaker Belgian league. 27 starts last season for Molenbeek. A Belgian youth international to Under 17 level and has also featured in friendlies for their U20s and U21s. Can't find many clips of him, but there's highlights here from his 22/23 season with Oostende. It looks like he covers the ground well at least. My initial thoughts are I'm slightly more positive on him than Keben.
Something I just remembered by seeing this post, if you use fbref a lot - head to fbcharts.com and download their chrome/firefox extension. Then any FBRef profile you go on it creates their stats as a nice looking radar next to the stats bars. Down to preference whether you prefer bars or radars though!
Doesn’t necessarily mean much given he brokers deals for us when he doesn’t actually represent the player.
