Apparently TalkSport have said we're trying to get Phil Jones on loan.
0 games this season
0 games last season
2 league games (8 in total) the season before.
Please God no. What have I done to deserve this.
Good grief I hope this isn’t true. Doubt he is an upgrade on Kaba.
Horrendous injury record but if he can stay fit he'd be excellent.
Not bad for a loan signing (if he’s as good as he was 3 years ago) as he’s a decent ball playing defender, but given his and our injury records, I’d be shocked if he plays more than 10 games.
Has he ever completed a whole season without being out injured?
Scraping the bottom of the barrel doesn't even being to do this justice.
He hasn't played football for the best part of 3 years, and was injury prone before that.
The bloke isn't even a footballer any more.
was reading online 2 weeks ago that he was offered to championship teams but no one made an official approach as he has been unable to prove his fitness.
(was discussing with a Blackburn supporter)
Nice to see our fans slagging off a signing before they've even had a chance. Disgraceful and the usual suspects again.
That's one way to ruin our claim to hunkiest team in the Prem.
Very high class player with a massive question mark.
The clubs going a bit of course he’s under 30, so looking ahead to 2 years time when we can have a real go for the +35 5 aside masters comp he’s not going to be in the picture. So it’s a no from me.

Injury free - this is imo is a very shrewd signing. He has less pressure at Watford and I think he would do well - has been available for last 12 months injury free …. Will take some time to get his rhythm but I’d be happy with this
He's English. We need some of those. We're about 1 sprained ankle away from having to include youths in the matchday squad to make our quota.
Oddly enough this looks like "Rigsby" saying "Miss Jones" in "Rising Damp".
Most predictable signing ever, if it happens. Text chat between me and my brother on August 23rd.
Are there rules on homegrown players in matchday squads? In terms of the 25 man squad we've got Bachmann, Foster, Elliot, Cathcart, WTE, Rose, Cleverley, Gosling, Quina, Chalobah, Fletch and King.
We don’t sign Danny Welbeck-sized mistakes anymore. We can do worse than that.
At least 8 of the 25 man squad have to be homegrown, we'll reach that easily
I don't think you need a quota of homegrown players in the matchday squad, just the 25 man squad
It’s Talksport so probably not reliable ?
And surely he’d never pass a medical or with our injury record be injured in seconds !
Yeah these are my thoughts, especially with Sierralta being unavailable for Wolves, surely Jones, even if he does sign, even if he passes a medical, won't be able to play for a while lol
Another Man Utd reject to be fixed up by Ginos Broken Toy Shop .
Not good enough for Utd but easily good enough for us .
Lou Orns has said it’s a windup ..
Well do we think that too ?
Will slot straight in at erm, right-back
I just did a quick look...
1) Baah (although I thought we wanted to Loan him)
9) Deeney (if he's still around)
10) Gray - gone.
So without an incoming Englishman, Baah stays and we're at our 8, unless Cathcart counts, does he? If he does, we're goo all around and Baah can go no loan.
I'm pretty sure Cathcart's homegrown. He came though the ManUre academy.
WTE and Bachmann are homegrown too according to graphics I have seen on Twitter, and you forgot Elliot as well.
True, I did. Elliot alone would do it. The others make it easy.
The best teenage defender I have ever seen when he was at Blackburn. I was certain he'd become the best English defender. The Manchester pressure and injuries have destroyed him.
I don't think he would even kick a ball for us, so it's a no from me.
