I can't see an actual pet thread anywhere, so here we go. Phelps loudly sneezed himself awake yesterday, with absolutely no clue where he was for a brief moment.
I have four cats. This dear little old lady is Daisy. Holds an extra special place, as she is the last surviving of my late Mum's cats. She is 16 years old TODAY !
Our rough collie being started at by cat #1, border collie v.2, cats #2 and #3 curled up on a towel...
I am utterly bereft today because Phelps passed away at the grand old age of 15. He's been an integral part of my life and I don't know what I'll do without him now. Everthing was centred around him and was our first priority in anything we did.
So sorry to hear this mate. Lost my dog last year and it's an awful time but clearly he had a great life with you that you will always remember RIP Phelps
I’m also devastated at the loss of my cat Lexi. She was 20 years old and I’m sure at some point her long and spoilt little life will be comforting to us. But for now, the house feels much emptier and it’s so hard not to look at her usual sleeping spots, expecting her to be curled up there.
Very, very similar feeling. Today being a lovely sunny day and I just keep seeing where Phelps should be. My condolences
My condolences to you too. I’m pretty sure a good few years ago you used to post pictures of Phelps in Watford memorabilia before matches? In my eyes, he was and will always be the forum’s mascot.
It's devastating to lose a pet. When Arthur, Ford's litter mate was killed by some b*****d driving far too fast in our quiet enclave I was bereft. It was a week after my brother's death. Persephone has joined us and is an extraordinary diva, like all female felines! I now feel sick as the headline of the Welwyn Hatfield Times is ' Dying dog left on road side'. Small comfort that a caring soul took the German Shepherd to the RVC or local RSPCA where the poor chap was put to sleep. Now I learn some savage has culled the foxes at Enfield Golf Club. Not pets I know but our foxes are part of our neighborhood and are canine hardware with feline software. Hideous people.
So sorry, heartbreaking to lose them and see the reminders everywhere. Sleep well beautiful Lexi, tabby cats are special.
Bless her. She reminds me of Chloe,my previous tabby. I met Lucia today on my way back from the club. A very friendly girl, three years old, Italian Hound out with her human Josh aged fifteen. She had a scar on her back and running to her right shoulder. I asked Josh about it and he said she was a rescue from Cyprus and she'd been thrown out of a car. No words.
