My sources can confirm that the jokes on WFC forums will continue to be the same, or similar, or very slightly exactly the same as we’ve been used to. Nothing further to add.

I’m hearing we may not get any more news on this one today, however they expect it to be concluded one way or the other in the next 3 weeks.

 

I understand we'll know for sure by 7pm on 1 September. Nervous days ahead.

 

I heard it’s to be announced last Wednesday. And if not, it should be tomorrow or before the end of the year.

Presumably he's simply reporting for the first day of pre-season? If no deal has actually been fully agreed between the clubs yet then surely that's pretty standard?

 

Luca bendoni has just tweeted as saying it’s expected still to be completed

 

I'm hearing we may have signed him on a 5 year deal but agreed to loan him back to Metz for the first 4 of those years.

 

Sky reporting 'The 21-year-old has completed a medical but still needs to finalise the paperwork on his move.'

They also say, 'Sky Sports News understands the club are looking to make at least three more additions to the squad.'

Whether that's Diallo +2 or Diallo +3 isn't wholly clear.

As I mentioned elsewhere, we stand to lose several players to the African tournament for a month from mid December.

Jeez, I know we needed to revamp the squad and Gino said he would wholly concentrate on us now, but this is beyond anything I thought would happen. I wonder if any of them will be any good?!

Central defender regardless. Neither Tikvic or Porteous should even be fourth choice and I'm still not completely sold on any of the centre backs currently at the club. We need someone else to come in who's genuinely good enough to battle for a starting place, rather than just a back up.

Guess it wasn’t as far along as originally reported then. Everyone saying he had his medical last week. So I’m guessing that wasn’t true. Doesn’t make sense to have a medical and then report for Metz pre-season. Normally the medical is done after the agreements between clubs and the player is basically done, but before the official contract signing. No chance his deal was as close as being reported last week, to then show up for Metz first day back.

 

I think what you're saying was always right, but I don't think all football transfers are as linear as they used to be maybe 10 years ago.

 

For all we know he went in today purely to say his goodbyes, he doesn't appear to be in any of their Instagram photos taking part in testing today.

 

...and presumably retrieve his fromage from the fridge.
