A poor move. He would benefit much more IMO from a move to a Championship club. It would get him used to the English game, and the frequent games would improve his fitness.

    Fun fact.

Chuks Aneke will now have played with both of Watford's big lads, Obbi Oulare and Uche Ikpeazu.

We'll never see him play again, useless ****.

Agree. I'd even prefer him to spend 46 games getting knocked around in League 1 and getting fit rather than move back to Belgium. Feels like we've given up on him - a very strange signing.

No point throwing good money after bad, from what I saw he was never going to make the step up to premier league standard, best getting a decent loan fe and his wages paid by someone else. We saw so little of him he really won't be missed.

It's a good move if he's guaranteed playing time. Seems like a decent bloke and perhaps he'd struggled to settle in the UK.

I doubt that will be the end of him, he's got all the attributes to succeed and needs a run of games to develop.
I'd be happier for him to be playing games in Belgium than sitting on the bench up in Ipswich.

I suspect he'll either be back with us next Summer or he won't.

Hopefully not, he can join Jurado and Suarez on the **** pile.

He's still growing. The lowlands are the only place where he can safely avoid being clipped by low flying aircraft.

The scout who recommended this hot talent should be relieved of his duties. We'll see how he goes in the Belgium Pro League, but I really don't think he's good enough.

Theoretically, considering the car crash of a season he just endured, going back to Belgium could be good for him in the 'going home to familiar surroundings' sense.

He's played in the league before, and he'll be close to friends and family, etc.

Being comfortable in those regards might help him improve/gain more playing time there than if he was still not getting to play for his actual club/in the Prem at all, whilst also being forced to engage in fistfights with Burton Albion centre backs for 90 minutes twice a week.

Let's not forget that he wasn't planning on leaving Brugge until late in the summer when they suddenly brought in two strikers over his head; a situation not too dissimilar to his current one. It might well be the case that he requested to go back to Belgium, and if so, I don't see much benefit in denying him it. In my opinion, we can't really judge him as a player at all based upon anything we saw (and what we did was of course extremely sparse) last season, and he appears to have quite a few of the attributes that could see him become a success in the Prem.

Apart from anything else, a huge part of the Pozzos model has always involved improving players, watching them have success in their leagues and attract attention, then selling them for great profits and cycling in a replacement that they had already been training up elsewhere to take up their mantle. There's no reason to assume this isn't the path Oulare might very well end up taking.

I get that he's a development player but If he was underwhelming for the U21s last season (according to reports on here) then surely that is a really bad sign in terms of his potential. Oh well - let's see how he does on this loan. Hope it doesn't happen but I wouldn't be surprised to see him on the fringes of his new team's squad pretty quickly.

I can't imagine there are many Championship clubs that would be interested in him to be honest.

I wouldn't think we stood much chance of recuping much of his purchase price therefore a loan to his homeland is the best for all parties!

they probably want to put him back in a league hes comfortable in to maximise his transfer value next season. also i think he will be 3rd choice striker having checked their squad out

Would be better served by going out on loan to the championship. I can only assume that no one wanted him. Shame.

We could have just told him to go to Celtic - perhaps he still needs to develop mentally as well as physically, going back to Belgium is just the comfortable option for him.
