In the Gillingham programme the section Soccer Roundup by 'Sentinel' has the wonderful phrase, "This little column prefers to be gay." I can't imagine that being in a modern programme. Similarly, elsewhere in the programme the sentiment, "We hope to witness a good sporting game and may the best team win," seems dated.
