I don't find it sad, especially as 90% of the players that are good enough to ever get near our first team now will just ****k off thanks to EPPP. Don't blame the Pozzo's blame the premier league.
Generally I would agree with you, and I think we are better off in the current situation. But maybe, just maybe, and due respect to HB, if we had found ourselves in a position where trying Britt Assombolonga out a bit more competetively was necessary to us, we may have found ourselves either a big money deal, or a replacement for £12m Troy Deeney. I am happy how things have worked out, but there is a tangible possibility that the new situation may lead us to undervalue some of our youngsters. And yeah, he may not have worked out like that at all. Just mooting the possibility.
