What a big head! If I wanted to know about Ighalo, his life and his interests I'd look at his Twitter prof... Oh.
Ighalo going to the Olympics would have an adverse affect to his sale price due to inavailability for pre season.
The Guardian are reporting that we've turned down a bid of £38m from Shanghai SIPG. https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...m-odion-ighalo-shanghai-sipg?CMP=share_btn_tw Extraordinary.
That's insane. But, I suppose, is the money really worth that much to us? After getting his replacement (you could argue Success/Penaranda/Sinclair are his replacements but they could be seen as wingers/inexperienced), plus fees etc we'd probably be looking at, idk, £10m? Is it worth it, in the grand scheme, with the PL money? Iggy is a known quantity and Gino will have seen exactly what he can do. Another goal-scoring run and another PL season with 10+ goals could be the difference between relegation and mid-table, or mid-table and Europe. Remember it's not a FIFA career mode.
We also have Vydra, who I think is more than capable of stepping up to Premier League level and who (in my opinion) complements Deeney's game better than Iggy does. 38 million seems far too good to turn down because quite frankly he's worth nothing near that. It's more than Martial, Benteke, Mata, Alexis Sanchez, and Ronaldo went for. It's equal to what Man City purchased Aguero for. It's only about 4 million less than Ozil cost Arsenal. Premier League TV has gone up since then, but that doesn't change the relative value of players on the continent. It just changes what clubs in the UK can spend. It seems absolutely mind boggling that we'd turn down 38 million for Iggy.
I'm not sure that's quite true. The Prem & Chinese money seems to be having a bit of a knock-on effect on prices elsewhere
Over time and given enough transfers, sure. There's no way it has inflated prices that much at this point, though. But some domestic perspective: Mane went to Liverpool for 36 million (and the media said that was overpriced). It's a crazy amount of money if true.

Ighalo off to jail? http://sportwitness.co.uk/spain-watford-star-accused-faking-test-prosecution-asking-two-years-jail/? Don't know about you guys but I don't think I could support a convicted criminal up front for Watford edit - **** sake, typo in the title
Spain have that odd rule that you don't have to serve a sentence if under 3 years or something? See Messi tax evasion.
Napoli interested in Odion for a January marquee signing.... Also interested are (were?) Chelsea and Man Utd. http://sportwitness.co.uk/agent-says-chelsea-man-utd-keen-nigerian-star-anything-can-happen/? Well, we'd hate to see him go, of course. The man's a goal machine. Have you seen his Youtube videos from last year? We already turned down £35 million and then there's Brexit and the Pound to take in to consideration. Go on then. Give us £40 mill and he's yours.
Even given his recent (non) goal scoring form this would take a lot of dosh from Napoli, unless they wanna swap for Mertens & Zieliński
Milik was the signing in the summer to replace Higuain and he is now out with a long term injury Anything around the £20m mark and I would 100% sell. There is no room for sentiment in football and he simply isn't delivering right now and hasn't done for a long time. I simply can't see him re-capturing his 2015 form at this point
When things arent going Deeney's way at least he fights for the team. Cannot say the same for Ighalo. Sell.
Still hoping that he may recapture his 2015 form but not entirely convinced he will. As others have stated we may be better with Pereyra,Success behind Deeney so he may find his options reducing. A pivotal time for him coming up one suspects.
