There was a violent gale blowing outside rattling Cthulhu's conservatory windows. As a younger man he was a music producer who had made his millions early on in his career and was now enjoying his retirement in the sleepy village. His house was one of the largest in the village with its own indoor swimming pool where he currently was splashing about doing his evening lengths before dinner.

The wind howled outside threatening to break in to his home, the conservatory groaned under the pressure. The noise made Cthulhu pause and ultimately decide that the pool was probably not the safest place to be if the roof came tumbling in.

Climbing out of the pool, Cthulhu decided he would spend the rest of the evening chilling out listening to music and drinking a nice red.

"Alexa, (other apparatuses are available) play my playlist please." Cthulhu asked his dot as he headed towards the stairs to go get changed. With that on came the top hits of Jedward and Darius.

"They don't make hits like this anymore." Cthulhu said to himself as he ascended the stairs.

A short while later after drying himself off and getting changed Cthulhu headed to the kitchen to decant the red for drinking later.

BANG BANG BANG. The noise startled Cthulhu who headed off to find the cause of the sound. Another bang followed emanating from the conservatory. Cautiously he tip toed into the conservatory to see what was the cause of the sound. Ah that was it the door had blown open. Cthulhu walked over and secured the door when all of a sudden the music changed to Skepta.

"Blooming Alexa, who wants to listen to this young rubbish." Cthulhu exclaimed. Turning around the volume had increased to the maximum and was reverberating around the room. Deciding enough was enough, he made his way to the device.

He had not made ten paces when he was knocked over sideways into the pool by a black blue. The impact had knocked the wind out of him and the panic caused him to sink to the bottom of the pool. Regaining his wits he kicked the bottom of the pool and pushed himself up.

Before him he saw a hulking black wolf who had him trapped. Unbeknownst to Cthulhu, the wolf had pressed the button for the automatic pool cover to close above him. Cthulhu swear he could see the wolf smiling and asked it what it wanted. No reply came.

By now the cover was inches away from Cthulhu and could not hear the whirring of the mechanism over the pumping music. Something hit the back of Cthulhu's head just above the water line and was pushing him. In a panic he turned around and saw the wooden shutters pushing him along. He thrashed about trying to reach the edge and pull himself out but it was too late. The wolf was there.

Cthulhu reached the edge, just as the wolf took a swipe at him causing cuts along his arms. Recoiling into the water Cthulhu went under, the shutters now within touching distance of the side closed over him trapping in the deep.

    Cthulhu was good.

The events that had taken place were taking a toll on HappyHornet24 and she decided she needed to do something to help herself perk up. She loved her garden in particular her ornate greenhouse she got from the garden centre before everything had kicked off. Putting on her gardening Crocs she headed out to check on her chillies that were still surviving this late in the year.

The greenhouse was ina sheltered part of the garden away from prying eyes of her neighbours, it was the perfect place for seclusion. As she neared the greenhouse she could smell a faint musky smell that was not normal for her garden. It could be a badger or a fox she mused and continued on.

As she neared the greenhouse the smell intensified. She stopped in her tracks. Something wasn't right. There was a presence behind her. Something was breathing down her neck. Gulping she turned around and locked eyes with a beast.

    HappyHornet24 was good.

Morning All - looks like we have managed to achieve what some of us were afraid of. Yes we managed to pick off an evil player at last(!), but it would seem we’ve managed to lynch the traitor, seeing as we have once again lost two good players to wolf inflicted deaths.

Have a couple of conference calls this morning, but will jump on where I can to keep up.

Massive loss to have HH24 gone, but balanced somewhat by losing Cthulhu, who was a big distraction IMO.

At this stage, we know Burnsy is EVIL. Would be useful to uncover who is the other wolf.

I was 50/50 between Sinatra and Burnsy as far as which was the traitor. I was sure both were evil. We got unlucky with that one.

So is it 3 (good) v 2 (evil) then?

  6. wfcmoog

    wfcmoog Tinpot

    yep.

BURNSY and one other. You are confirmed good, as am I.

  7. wfcmoog

    wfcmoog Tinpot

    Frankly, I am 99% sure it's Ashdon.

LR has been quite pugnatious, but seems to have acted with GOOD's best interests at heart. Ashdon has gone under the radar somewhat and played a classic wolf's game.

We need to go back and read the previous 3 day's threads and see what their behaviour and voting gives away, if anything. We can still win this, if the 3 good players all agree which evil player to vote off on each day.

  8. wfcmoog

    wfcmoog Tinpot

Plus, we still have a back up, back up seer. So if that person views Ashdon and reveals themselves, with evidence, we have won.

  9. Burnsy

Can you tell me how you KNOW I’m evil?

If it was a cut and dried certainty, I’d gain nothing by denying such a fact. Seeing as I know I’m good, you are either playing a very clever game by trying to make everyone follow you by speaking with such conviction - or you have read into HH24’s theory regarding Horace too much and allowed yourself to become convinced of something that isn’t true.

Kill me off and it’s game over.

  10. wfcmoog

    wfcmoog Tinpot

I don't need to tell you how I know. It's all there in the threads. You know it. I know it. I just need CB and LR to know it.

  11. Burnsy

    Burnsy First Team

Trying to lead others to kill someone without explaining why you’re certain...that’s shady in itself.

  12. wfcmoog

    wfcmoog Tinpot

I'm not trying to lead you to do anything. Because you are the wolf.

We know who the wolves are now. There's still some tying up to be done to confirm 100% around Ashdon, but otherwise, this game is simply about CB, myself and possibly LR agreeing which wolf we lynch today and then tomorrow, to ensure a good victory.

  13. Burnsy

    Burnsy First Team

Then I implore LR and CB not to mess this game up by believing you.

LR and CB, go over the last few days with a clear mind and not one that is looking for reasons to lynch me - it’s not as cut and dried as Moog is strangely saying and won’t back up. He’s not to be trusted - I just haven’t figured out if it’s through blind ignorance or something more sinister.

The stuff about Horace's comments seemed pretty convincing to me, I'm also suspicious about how Burnsy was kept in the game despite missing two votes; plus he was named as evil on day two (though we're not entirely sure by whom). However, I don't know if based on that we can say we know for sure?

I'm def leaning towards Burnsy, but either of you are free to point out any additional info before the votes later.

There's a lot of sinatra deflecting to protect Burns on page 2 of yesterday's thread. It's pretty obvious what Sinatra was trying to do IMO

Look deeper towards others. I have viewed Burnsy and he is GOOD.

I'll have a proper read through over lunch.

I think I know who the back up, back up Seer is.

I will state again that I am good. You seem utterly convinced otherwise Moog, and are leading the charge against me in trying to get CB and LR on board to make the numbers insurmountable.

I have read over previous days again in the last hour and I do think Moog is good - but just misguided in his judgment of me. If Moog gets those two on board, he is teaming up with at least one wolf to do so and making the game almost unwinnable for good.

LowerRous has been less punchy in this game than in other previous games and very measured in his responses. Cassetti's Beard has just been extremely quiet and sitting almost exclusively in the background.

Moog - this shouldn't be about you getting CB and LR on board to lynch me. In my opinion, me and you are 2/3's of Team Good. We just need to find the last one...

Can I ask you to state what it is exactly that makes you so sure? If not for me, then for CB and LR as it's them you are trying to bring on board.

I don't disagree that there is some sound reasoning most likely - and I don't blame you really for having things pointed out to you and believing them. But you're normally quite rational and good at this game. You've gone 'all in' on me through a hunch and nothing at all watertight. You really need to not focus on me so much and look at those you're trying to side with.

You're wrong. Simple as that. There aren't many more ways I can say it.

Interesting message and selection of view by the back-up, back-up Seer, if that was indeed their message? It would seem an usual thing to do, particularly given Moog's (who we believe has been confirmed as good on day 1 by Nisman(?)) suggestion to view me.

Looks as though a snippet taken from a poem by Geoffrey Chaucer.

Yesterday we had some lyrics aptly selected from a Frank Sinatra song.

Moog, out of curiosity, what exactly have I done to arouse your suspicions. I personally was angling at Burnsy yesterday, and also made the point that I thought Horace had fairly subtly brought him to our attentions on Day 2, but yesterday, as you quite clearly stated, was a numbers game, and I did what the majority thought was necessary to do for the greater good.

Yet here we are, on day 4, with two wolves still roaming, and all we have achieved is the removal of the traitor.

Damn Cthulhu being so hung ho! He was noisy but he was good seemingly on the money with some of his theories.

Good spot on the Chaucer thing Ashdon, I hadn't even bothered to surmise the message as I got carried way seeing my name...again!

Seems to be the opening lines to a poem called 'Truth'

It appears to me that our backup, backup seer has viewed me and seen what Moog refuses to!

  25. lowerrous

Because the message quotes from a poem called "Truth" that automatically means it must be true? Hmm.

  26. Burnsy

I didn't say that. I just said it appears to me that way.

It's all a bit quiet today. I'm missing CTHULHU's ravings and HH24's reason

    Agreed moog. Hypothetical Scenario:

What if we’ve lost our back-up, back-up Seer, and they just weren’t referred to as “very good” in the write up?

  29. Burnsy

Cthulhu was pretty set on LowerRous being a wolf too...

No message 2 as yet today either...it’s getting pretty late in the days play.

A wolf just content to sit back thinking the indication is that a good player is going to be lynched going by the days play so far?

Wonder what time Cassetti’s Beard takes lunch?
And what he’s having for lunch for that matter?

If the backup backup seer has been got then EVIL have struck gold every day, but I would have hoped @domthehornet would have let on in his write up

  33. lowerrous

    lowerrous First Team

    I doubt that would happen.

The only other thing I wonder is if there could have just been a one-off third Seer. I'm not sure if there has been any precedent for that in previous games, but in the last one there was a single-use Guardian.

  34. lowerrous

Initially, then he seemed to realise he might have dropped a clanger and shifted his focus to Ashdon and Sinatra.

I agree though that if you were trying to frame me as a wolf, then killing Cthulhu and posting a subsequent message like yours would be a decent way to go about it.

  35. Burnsy

8 messages in 4 days so far. And very little content within them. 2 self-confirming himself as good, 2 confirming his vote in the evening and a few telling us he’s busy/otherwise engaged. Under the radar.
