Why are we bringing him back, we should rely on our youth and give them a go because I saw him play for Sheffield United and he was crap. Also Martin O'Neill is a Class A w****r.
Can I ask what your agenda is? Are you deliberately trying to start arguments on here, (and great credit to LBH for not tearing you a new one), or is it a dig at me regarding the recent forum policy on thread hijacking?
If this happens, it's an 18 month contract, allowing Thompson, Hoban et al to develop at their own pace, rather than ruin in them by relying on them too early.
It's called irony. It's Ron's sense of humour and I find it entertaining, because it has intelligence behind it. You've got to really lighten up Admin with this OTT approach. This forum used to be FUN.
Why should it be 'credit to lbh for not tearing into me' anyway, he posted blatant rubbish about a player and I corrected him. Hes the one constantly trying to coat me off for daring to attend university, im not the one trying to turn disagreements about Watford players into personal attacks
Here we go again, another thread about to get seriously off topic ... SO back on track, if true this is fantastic news. Clearly, the guy has enjoyed his time here and wants to come back. He has been superb in the games he's played and the partnership with Mapps was incredible. Also, should he come back, i'd hope it would show some ambition by the club, signing a player who before would have been out of our price range and thus show some ambition to Mapps, to keep him on board. Hope this progresses and we get him asap!
It's a very small minority spoiling it for the vast majority. The forum will get back to where it was pretty quickly and be better for it. As soon as I saw the smiley, (above), as a reply I knew it was a matter of time before another sarcastic post was made, (below). IRB is unable to leave things without having the last word, no matter how destructive. You may have noticed since the "January" rule was enforced how a small minority have literally thrown their toys out of their prams. I know it doesn't go down to well with some, but if you want to go on about a university education then for God's sake get the spelling and grammar right.
Im not 'going on about a university education' at all, quite the contrary, this is my point, its another poster who continually brings it up in an attempt to turn disagreements about watford players into personal attacks, yet you defend him because he does a little article each week for you to sticky As you can see a lot of posters are finding it extremely difficult to stick to your new rules, first it was 'Moog humour', then puns in general, now seemingly irony or anything which may be construed as humour in any way. Perhaps from now on just delete any of my posts you have an issue with as I cant keep up with these daily changes in severity
In a strange kind of way I think Nos is on a par with Tiny when it comes to individual skills, what has impressed me though is the effect on the entire back four since Nos slotted into it. I’m not sure what it is he has brought but it has certainly solidified it.
Have to agree, it's starting to get alienating (and this in spite of me not being able to tell if IRB was taking the **** in a response to one of my posts in the Nozza thread)
Makes you think what's going to happen to Taylor if Nos does sign. He's out of contract in the summer and I can't see him staying just to sit on the bench as back up to Nos and Mariappa. Who knows though, maybe Taylor and Nos may play together if Mariappa was to get sold.
I think that would drastically change the way we play. We have been playing a really high line all season but we’ve been able to do that due to having the likes of Mapps in the backline, his pace allows us to play higher. I fear with Nos and Tiny we would end up playing much deeper.
Link to SSN: http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11686/7421474/Hornets-eye-Nos-deal "Watford are closing in on a permanent deal for Sunderland's Nyron Nosworthy, Sky Sports understands. The 31-year-old has just returned to the Stadium of Light following a successful loan spell at Vicarage Road. Nosworthy is one of a number of loan players that Sunderlandboss Martin O'Neill wanted to cast his eye over following his appointment. With defensive reinforcements in short supply at Sunderland, Nosworthy appeared set to challenge for first-team place. However, Watford have since moved to try and secure the return of the central defender - affectionately known as 'The Nos'. Now a deal appears to be close and he looks set to agree an 18-month deal with the Championship outfit."
I think Nyron has as much, if not more, pace than Mariappa. I can't remember what game it was earlier in the season (Bristol City at home?) but the striker was clean through and the recovery pace was Nyron was excellent.
It will be great news if NN signs, but if it is SD's intention to pair him up with Tiny, and sell Mariappa I am not sure that would work :-\ They are both good players, but I think they are too similar, and I don't think they would work as a pair. I would love to be proven wrong, but I fear I would not be!!!
Could we play Tiny Taylor up front at times? Would Mapps revert to full back? Or even Martin Taylor at left back?
I reckon a Bennett - Nosworthy partnership wouldn't be that bad as, in my opinion, Bennett and Mariappa are quite similar.
Not sure he is quite as fast as Mapps, Wells of Bradford skinned him on a couple of occasions on Saturday
I wouldn't worry about the formation just yet. Having three quality centre halves on the books is something we should be looking to have anyway. There are always injuries, loss of form and suspensions to contend with over a season. I dont see this as a luxury but a necessity for any good side.
Mate, It's easy, for the duration of the transfer window post only relevant rumours/speculation/information, leave out the puns and repetitive "Moog" humour. Allowing people who simply want to read about and comment on players that we may be, or wish to be connected with to do just that without wading through pages of spam.
If it was that easy to understand then why did you post humorous comments in the 'Sordell £5m bid' thread
Seriously give it a farkin rest. Amazing how this forum has deteriorated. I don't know if you enjoy sitting behind the computer screen making these 'jokes' time and time again but it gets incredibly boring. Admin has simply asked to cut down on the needless comments that ruin threads, but yet again you have managed to ruin this one.
