I think you’ll find the loan fees from Penaranda alone was the difference between promotion and relegation last season.
I guess you’re having a bad day. Take a break from the forum if it’s getting too much for you. No one should get this angry over absolutely nothing. It’s baffling.
Classic HB1, that’s the second person today you’ve accused of getting angry as a response to you saying something nonsensical, but having no credible response to being picked up on it. Like a toddler attempting reverse psychology.
https://twitter.com/jacob_culshaw/status/1480518135073673220?t=9wW_w1utNIKG_KQ5ECqalg&s=19 The WD18 have spoken. Some of the resulting comments are just peak Pozzo propaganda.
With all due respect to them, if they have resorted to a comment like that, it speaks volumes about the Pozzos!
TBF The ones I've seen appear to be critical generally. Maybe some making excuses for a few of the players.
Some of the replies are full on nonsense though. I see Nath has replied but you have to click the button to reveal potentially offensive comments
The official site says he's running outside again and "a few weeks away from returning". Wasn't the original diagnosis that he'd be out until the end of March? If we can get him back playing by Man United away on the 26th February or, probably more realistically, Arsenal at home on 6th March, then that'll be a pretty big boost and will mean we potentially have him available for 13/14 matches. I think he's without a doubt our best and most accomplished centre back. Just need to get him fit and keep him fit.
I agree, and I do wonder if there's some element of trying to give him an artificial version of the pre-season grounding he wasn't given in the summer as he works back to fitness, to try and increase the chance he survives the rest of the season/multiple games. The only downside to this is, again, I imagine Hodgson will favour players who've trained and been drilled in his setup for as long as possible, rather than just plugging and playing. If any one of our bunch of malcontents could do that, it's probably Nkoulou, but I hope either it doesn't count against him, or that we're suddenly so miraculously incredible it doesn't matter if it does.
If Ken Sema is fit enough to play every minute of every game before now and the end of the season - and Nkoulou is only fit to play 90 mins in the very last game… I’d pick Nkoulou in the squad every time.
Yep. It took Charlton 45 seconds to score the first and their second was scored before he went off after 30 minutes. I guess he didn’t play too well.
Some weeks away from being able to play for the first team then. Guessing he'll be in contention around mid April.
Don't know about you but I am shocked that an ageing player that hadn't played or trained for months and then got thrust straight into Premier League action pulled up lame.
Nothing about this entirely random, long-term injury could have been foreseen. Due diligence on this guy was so extensive, it started in the summer and continued well past the start of the season. Obviously you don’t know, but Scott and Gino do business properly.
Why the ******* **** did we sign him in October rather than the summer? When he did play he looked fine, but leaving him kicking his heels for 6 months was just asking for trouble
Because the morons in charge thought we could get through the whole season with four centre backs despite at least two of them being older and increasingly injury prone. It's ridiculous that people on here could point out it was a silly risk at the time yet the people running the club couldn't see it.
Apologists incoming to say “maybe he had other options and was considering bigger clubs in the championship so we couldn’t sign him in the summer”. Or perhaps even they have given up their defence of the fools running the club with their imaginary scenarios.
I mean, was hardly unpredictable was it? We all saw it coming. If he was any good we would’ve signed him in August.
If he was any good someone else would’ve signed him in August. Gino needs the saying “buy cheap buy twice” tattooed on his forehead, when will he ever learn. So utterly frustrating.
Maybe he was considering other options and bigger clubs so we asked but he wouldn’t sign for us in the summer ?
