Presumably he bought his own tickets previously. A big chunk out of his wages. A couple of free tickets will I'm sure come in very handy, as well as the nice thought of being given them by the players or club.
All very well and good but what about the 50/50 sellers and the fans who didn't get a clap in Germany?
I'm really shocked to see that despite all that's happened to him, there's still Wolves fans putting disgusting comments about him on Twitter. I don't even think that lot up the M1 would sink as low as that. Good gesture by the club, and great to see Nic looking so well.
That's two in the eye this week for people who say we abandoned our roots as a family/community club in favour of being an Italian B team. Keep 'em coming, Gino.
Twitter is fantastic for a lot of things, but it really does give a platform to some right pr***s. Disgusted by a very small minority of Wolves fans who continue to label Nic a hooligan. Absolutely fantastic to see Nic looking so well, and a great gesture by the club. Fair play to SSN too. We really do support a fantastic club.
I had a bit of a teary eye this morning, fantastic to see. Fair play to Jim White and SSN as well. Mr. White gave up his time last year to compare a Spinal Research auction to help aid my brother-in-law. He could't have been nicer, staying well after and talking to everyone and bringing loads of signed stuff to auction from Sky Sports.
Wolves fans are embarassing. Saying he is a known hooligan and started the fight. Pretty sure the CCTV shows that this isn't true?
The reason they say that is because they can't bear the thought of their club's name and reputation being tarnished so publicly, so therefore it has to be someone else's fault, surely.
One on twitter saying it's a disgrace how he got a free £30k and free season ticket, saying he hasn't even thanked the fans
Great to watch. Nic seemed a lot better than I expected based on the type of injury. He might have problems with short term memory and mobility but he most certainly has "all his marbles"
We were seconds behind , headed to the same pub , they just need to be able to deflect blame , recall back at the time , he `shouldnt have been in that area anyway` they said says it all about some of them
I dont normally do Twitter.. but i just stumbled across this..... https://twitter.com/wolvespolice/status/596294509190844416 Can that be genuine???
To be honest, they seem to have a lot more idiots/scum than other clubs do. Makes me feel sorry for the decent Wolves supporters out there like that Ollie chap.
On this site they seem well meaning and kind about the situation but I know this wasn't the site with all the "allegations" http://www.wolvesforum.co.uk/showthread.php?27784-Watford-Fan-in-Hospital/page10
It took a bit of scouting and unfortunately most of them have either deleted the comments or blocked their profiles so we can't see them. Out of the ones that haven't gone, a couple still call him a hooligan and one just wanted to laugh. I've said it once and I'll say it again- Wolves attracts the extremes. There are plenty of decent Wolves fans, but there are also plenty (more than the usual for a club) of knuckle-dragging *****
True enough.. but its from the 7th of May. Now i'm not sure if you can edit Twitter.. but you can sure delete things. They didnt even answer the person who suggested they'd made a mistake. Poor effort i'd say.
It's more fun to stand by the sidelines & laugh at them. Although I get the impression no matter what is said, some of them will never be convinced that Nic was entirely innocent.
Sorry Layts - There's an IQ test that you're required to fail to register. Fair play to their Admin bloke, he seems decent enough.
You would hope that all these people who have been stating that "the truth will come out soon" have been in contact with the police and assisting their enquiries. Is it worth pointing the police in the direction of these people?
