That's actually where the name came from - I made a reference to the show once in the pub shortly after I'd turned old enough to drink. Amazingly, nobody had heard of it and so was accused of making it up - hence the name stuck. I've been called worse over the years so I'm fine with Jossy!

Hello All,

Been looking at this forum for while and have now registered so I can stick my oar in now and then.

Saw my first game 35 years ago, been a season ticket holder for about 25 of those years but circumstances have meant I am unable to renew for next season so will have to rely on getting the odd game where life and ticket availability collide.

Often some funny stuff on here so hope to continue enjoying that and maybe add a bit where I can.

Sort of OK, no honestly I'm fine.

Been reading the forum for a while so decided to join. Try to get to a few games each year and every time is like a cup final to me especially if were in yellow and under lights. Always been a fan of 'Still to come Watford' and watch the highlights of all the games on MOTD after the ads for American Football, The next day's games and of course the matches with less goals. Or I go to bed and wait for the extended highlights online and get a true representation of the game ;-)

Recently retired after a lifetime of working abroad - and back in the UK for a while to see if I can stand the climate. Not to mention to be nearer to Vicarage Road, where I haven't been for a few years now. I've followed the 'Orns for nearly 50 years - mostly from afar, and sometimes from places where results, never mind news, were hard to find.

I'm 1970's vintage and, while I have to say that the Pozzos have done wonders for the stadium, as you could guess from my name I'd far rather stand at a match. Sitting at football just isn't natural.

 

If you do get to go to a few games then try to get a seat at the back right of the rookery. They stand the whole game and a good atmosphere.

Back in the day, the back of The Rookery was where I used to stand - with crowds of around only 5 or 6 thousand there was plenty of room to sit down if you felt the need.

Hi, new to the forum. Everton fan, but here in peace (primarily to discuss “the snake”).

For any mods out there, trying to sign up via safari on my phone, and then using my laptop with chrome, internet explore for firefox, I wasn’t able to. The reCaptcha wouldn’t load on any of them, no matter what I did. I had to download the tapatalk app to sign up. Just thought you might like to know.

Hi everybody from Hamburg!
I fall in love with this family club in the 80´s. I´m a child, love english football but don´t like this glory hunting teams. Then we play Kaiserslautern in the European cup . Times change, the game change massiv but once a Hornet always a Hornet.
I also have a season ticket for SV Hamburg so I try to get over for games 3-4 times a season. Not sure about my english but hope I can participate.
