Can one of the second or third kits be blue and white swirls with the blue the same tint at the blue in Mr Q thereby obliterating the letters.
Imagine if the away kit is white and black with a black Mr Q logo. Anarchy in the streets of Watford.
My theory is that the club and Mr Q have intentionally made the logo on the shirt look as revolting and incongrous as possible to distract people from the fact that The Original Family Club is once again being sponsored by a parasitic gambling company who have received six figure fines for money laundering and social responsiblity failures. They'll agree to change the colour of the logo to black in a week and be treated like heroes. Genuinely quite sickening.
So the club asking them to change the colour but being knocked out is BS for you ? I did think betting sponsorship was being banned tbh so will need to find another one .
I was a fat old git who had refused to even try to look good in the recents kits, but after a lot of graft health wise, now I'm not a fat old git, just an old git, so stuff it, Ronnie McDonald or not, ordered it.
Well done on that! Of course it now means the end of year sales will have one less reasonable sized shirt to purchase and I’ll be left deciding if I should buy the small and wear it like a crop top or the 4XL and use it as a duvet cover.
Drove past the Hornet Shop yesterday, windows full of the new shirt but not a single MrQ logo in sight. They did have the KOKA on the back and some had the "We" campaign logo on the front.
Quite interesting episode of FTRE out now with an interview with the man at the club who decides on the kit design. Obviously beauty is in the eye of the beholder etc etc. But it was interesting to hear: One reason we're with Kelme is they accept smaller orders. Adidas for example want 2000 minimum in any type. We sell about 500 women's shirts a season. No figures given for mens. The black kit last season was very popular. Got to the point the retail side was having to do swaps with the kit man to get more to sell. They wanted to have a red shorts / black shorts fan vote last year but the deadline for producing the mini kits stopped it The deal with Mr Q is in its last year. If we'd have been promoted last season we wouldn't have kept them as a sponsor this season.
I do find the complaining about the complaining of the kit a bit odd, I personally don’t care but it’s obvious some people will, after all, of nobody cared we’d just wear the same uniform every year wouldn’t we? Like I say, I don’t care either way, I’m never going to buy it and wear it so it doesn’t matter to me, but the very fact they sell it to fans surely highlights the fact some people have a vested interest in what it looks like? You may not personally care, but it’s odd to think some fans don’t.
If you don't care don't read/reply to the thread? I think most of us care but just have differing opinions, nothing wrong with that.
Nothing screams ‘tinpot Watford’ more than the fact we have to be with a kit supplier that allows for small orders.
I think it looks ok but like many, I don't like the logo. I don't but them anyway so really not that fussed
Well, I think it just screams smaller fanbase mostly. If you've got 12-14,000 as your reliable turnout, you're not going to be selling more than a few thousand as an EFL club.
They were referring to the women's kit. They sell 500-ish of those, but a supplier like Adidas would have a minimum order of 2000. I doubt it's an issue for the men's kit, although they said it was per SKU, so imagine that also applies to toddler mini-kits and XXXL kits!
Just something to have an opinion about isn’t it really - in a fun way . These days you get YouTube blogs discussing each kit such is the way modern football and social media .
Slightly disgusted by the amount of sponsored shirts being worn in the stands at Borehamwood tonight. What's wrong with these people!
Looks far better with black shorts and socks. There's still time to change the Ronald McDonald outfit.
Still shockingly bad, but the damage is absolutely reduced by several factors. From Tsar Bomba to Dong Feng 4.
I was in Watford this morning for my sins and saw someone wearing the new shirt coming towards me. It's horrific. It's much much worse in real life than it looks on screen. Just so bad
Take it with a pinch of salt and all that, but supposedly the away kit is being released this Friday.
'Released', like a vial of deadly biotoxin in a crowded public space by a radical terror group seeking to upend global order.
