New Kit - 22/23

It’s a nice return to yellow, and it’s old gold yellow too. I’m liking it.

Nice touch acknowledging 100 years at the Vic.

 

**** the club for bringing out an absolute beauty of a home shirt at the same time as I start my boycott of their products and services.

Bit early too, suspiciously. And shame about the sponsor. And the owners.

 

Nice other than the rims around the bottom of the sleeves being different colours. Bit weird.

 

Isn’t it basically this seasons away kit but in yellow?

The sponsor remains a horror show.

I do much prefer our kits when they just stick to a solid basic design and don’t go too ‘busy’.

No doubt @RS2 will be along soon to call it lush/sexy/a thing of beauty just to wind me up!

 

Missed a trick with the promotional video - could have had Ucko taking off his banana costume to reveal all.

 

Looks more gold in the filtered bit of the video but under the full lights with RE at the end it's back to day-glo yellow. Will have to wait and see it in action - Sunday maybe?

Reminds me a bit of some the old school 80s kits, especially the collar.

Not perfect, but definitely the best of the three home kits from Kelme, still very happy we’ve had them for the last couple of seasons instead of the bog-standard Nike or Adidas.

It reminds me a bit of the old '80s kit, which is no bad thing and the red trim is back!

I like it way more than I'd expected. It's a traditional Watford FC shirt and not some covert rebranding 'Watford Hornets' soccerball team shirt with unnecessary stripes or starbursts.

I fully expect some batshit away kit now.

 

I was going to limit myself to just 1 replica this year after buying 2 this season (initially buying the home one before the green kit came out but having to own that sexy green beauty) and this looks like the one I'll be getting!*











*Unless they release another sexy alternative kit!

 

I like it.

I might even purchase one.

Not this season's pallid yellow or the craziness of the one before that.
