The very site that said he could be recalled in Jan are now telling us he can't be because they have done their research more now and figured they did not do a good job first time around.

WD sport is getting a little bit boring now. Novelty worn off.

Yea but it removes any slight uncertainty. There was away the chance the new manager might recall him. Awesome news. Awesome player.

TBF it wasn't just WD40 who suggested he could be recalled. If they pi*s you off, fair enough. It's very easy to just not go to their website though.

I quite like WD Sport but it's rubbish like this that I just don't care for.

Please coreect me if I'm wrong, but there was never a suggestion that Chelsea had a recall clause inserted into his contract when Ake signed for us. Unless that clause is reported by several sources upon the contract being signed, it's glaringly obvious common sense to assume that said clause doesn't exist.

It's not news and it's purely to get hits on the website.

The clause does exist, but the important detail that after he played a certain number of game (which he has now) he cannot be recalled was not reported until today. The Wobby have said this evening that he could be recalled but not yet about the additional detail.

We now know that it was that he can't be recalled. As a matter of interest could Chelsea let him play even if they wished to do so? I thought that permission could only be given in the FA cup (Chelsea let us play Lenny Pidgeley against them) but I thought there was a league regulation which wouldn't allow this.

The postings that he could have played if Chelski were ok with it were only for a larf. He can't play even if Chelski weren't bothered. As you say, rules now don't allow it.

    They're bull**** merchants though, right?

Would take that hit on him at the moment. Already a consistent Premier League performer at 20 with a ridiculous amount of potential and he can play a few positions.

if Chelsea want 10 we'll get him for 4.5

  14. HITC are the ultimate in clickbait bull, and the Metro's sources are other people's websites, so no matter how enticing this seems, it is unfotunately coated in bovine doo.

Cool if it turns out, though I'd only expect to pay £10m if Chelsea had been picking him for the last year. £6m at the most I reckon, but if Gino says ten, then no probs.

The only reason why we'd move for Ake now is to potentially free up a loan spot.. However I don't think that's necessary with ibarbo & Diamanti gone.

HITC didn't say that we'd made a bit, they just rehashed an article from the Mirror speculating about what could happen on Deadline Day. Here's what the Mirror article actually said:

if he is feeling lucky, Flores could try to tempt Chelsea to make on-loan full-back Nathan Ake’s move to Vicarage Road permanent with a £10m bid.

Not exactly the same as "Watford have made a £10 million bid to make Ake's transfer permanent" is it?

Is he worth £10m, possibly yes on potential alone, and as someone said if Mr Pozzo is happy to pay that amount, I would not say no as Ake is a winner!

He has been at Chelsea for 5 years since the age of 15, so counts as home-grown right? It would be great to sign him permanently at some point.

Chelsea wouldn't let him go for that amount. He has already stated that he will be back training with Chelsea during the Summer, then take it from there.

I suspect the Mirror meant 3 million PLUS Ighalo!

  33. £3-5m would be reasonable. £10m million absolute outrageous tops I reckon. As good as he is, we are still vastly over rating him.

If he was on loan from Bournemouth, playing exactly the same, no one would be considering anything over 5m.

Bournemouth paid £8m for Tyrone Mings. Would you honestly prefer Mings to Ake?
