I didn't say I hated Oasis, I just think they're overrated. I've never thought of myself as cool and edgy, so thank you

 

I shall be joining the scrum on Saturday morning to try and get a ticket however I feel
that is the High flying birds featuring Liam Gallagher that we shall be seeing .
Just my 2 bob !

 

Tickets set to be 140 quid upwards from what I can see. Apparently this is 'the norm' now.

So is wearing plastic cowboy hats, Shein feather boas and loads of glitter to watch pop singers but it sure as **** ain't rock n roll.

I'm sure people will pay it, but I don't understand why evenings out cost as much as weekends away for a family these days. Rip off.

I'm happily going to be in the queue of 200000 supposed loyal fans for Fridays presale where they will release 10 tickets per venue.

 

It's fine if it's just you and a mate, but I've got a 10 and a 12 year old who are randomly massive oasis/Gallagher fans. I'd be forking out 600 quid for a family of 4 to go to Wembley and I can't justify that.

 

Tried to watch this tonight and realised that not all the Proms are on iPlayer. I thought they were (I watched The Planets last night, which was excellent). Will listen on Sounds instead but would have liked to have watched it as if I was there.

Presale should have been allocated to those that have bought Liam or High Flying Birds gig tickets in the last year…rather then some of my friends who have decided they want to go without knowing anything more than Wonderwall

It's Wanda Wall, a song about the school secretary Noel fancied as a kid iirc.
Turns out she was a Blur fan and the rejection all got a bit painful for him having to keep singing about her. Liam isisists they always sing it in sets just to annoy Noel. It's the main reason Oasis split up.

Linkin Park have been teasing something for a while, and the rumours of new music with a new vocalist are correct. They've announced a new lineup and album which is out in November of this year.

Nobody will ever replace Chester Bennington who was one of the more unique vocalists around, but Emily Armstrong's voice seems to just fit. I really like the new track and will be trying to get tickets for the show at the O2 at the end of the month.

7 million people tried to buy Oasis tickets!! I love Oasis and have seen them a few times but £150 for a standing ticket I thought was taking the pi55 but then dynamic pricing (what a load of bollox) took over and they ended up at £350. I'm not paying that so gave up

 

I actually got through to purchase tickets but like you balked at the prices. Cheapest available was £250 seats up in the gods, no thanks!

 

I fell asleep in front of the telly at the weekend and woke up to Liam Gallagher at some festival or other. Christ, what a whiny monotonous voice, generally staying on the same note for ages. And as for genuine star presence - standing in a parka with the hood up with your hands behind your back for every song - jeez. Any mug that shells out for this ******** deserves to be ripped off.

On Friday morning, Liam posted on X: “OASIS are back your welcome and I hear there ATTITUDE STINKS good to know something’s never change.”

When fans responded by criticising the ticketing approach, including one X user who said he “didn’t expect [Oasis] to rip off the fans as much as they have done”, Gallagher replied: “SHUTUP”.
And when asked how he was feeling, the 51-year-old responded: “SMUG only kidding SMUG AS F*** I told you all we were gonna get back together 1 fine day.”

 

My first proper gig

 

I loved Oasis music when they were at their prime. £250 to see them creaking around a stage 30 years later ? I'd rather remember them in their prime at their peak.
Who was better though ? Oasis or Blur ? I loved both, probably preferred Oasis best songs (Live forever, Wonderwall, Cigs & Alcohol, Don't look back in anger) but preferred Blur's variety & creativity (County house vs the universal vs song #2).
Blur actually had a great new song out last year.
