Got him at 11/2 a week and a half ago. Thought those odds were ridiculously long
Gone by Monday morning.
It's worth a gamble.
Down to 5/4 now....I’ll keep my money for crypto thanks
Had a look at Oddschecker just now, where he’s quoted at 9/4. Interestingly, there’s three times as much money for Arteta at 16/1. No massive gamble on Munoz just yet.
Xisco has now been sacked....official
they aren’t run like us. Norwich will not sack Farke even if rock bottom.
You’d be an idiot to bet on him going.
Infact most of their fans support him and think we are a joke.
So it was likely known at the club that he was about to be sacked even before the Leeds game, which could partly explain why the team played as if they were shell-shocked yesterday as per vs Huddersfield under Ivic.
A couple of reasonable responses but mainly delusion. One of them asks how we’re supposed to build something? What exactly are they building towards that we don’t exceed more often than not every season?
If that is the case the club need to refund the fans who travelled.
He’s just trying to win an argument against Burnsey.
Nearly stuck £5 on this, if I had Bruce would have been sacked first though knowing my luck.
It's nothing to do with that.
You should have been braver. No one sacks anyone before Watford. Clubs always hold off until we make our move, then the floodgates open.
Not read it as I've learned not to bother reading other club's fans with no knowledge of situations comment.
I bet it's usual armchair supporter comments such as:
"They're only Watford, how high do they expect to be?"
"They're on 7 points already. Why sack him. I hope they go down now."
"Ridiculous decision. What does are a joke of a club."
They'll have no idea of how we have been playing, that we're lucky to be on 7 points at all and that we're unbelievably lucky not to have lost the last 2 games 5-0 at least due to some shocking play.
They'll stick with Farke as their owners have no ambition to be anything other than a yo-yo club. Most of them probably jealous that our owners have the balls and thick skin to do it knowing the backlash.
We will also get the same comments from other armchair fans who look at our points and think we should be grateful with that and that Xisco is doing a fantastic job. Little knowing that he's been completely out of his depth tactically all season and got a lucky win v villa and a win vs one of what's looking like the worst clubs in premier league history.
So unless anyone has watched all our games and still feels the same, I guess it's just ignore them and carry on.
Actually tbf a few of them have said the Pozzo way seems to work for us so why not run the club as they do.
Seems to be more fans of bigger clubs who think we ought to know our place and not expect better than 1 point v Wolves/Newcastle/Leeds and Brighton as 3 of them are bigger clubs.
TBH They either just don't seem very bothered about not being that great and happy to have a good Championship season every other season or feel they have been really unlucky or it's only a matter of time before their fortunes improve.
Have I missed the boat on this one?
Hot money is on Ranieri now.
The man of the moment.
For approximately the next 5 months.
This must be pretty crippling to our finances, having to pay off so many managers. I am not sure how much of Xisco's contract had to be paid up, does anyone know how long he had left?
As a competition winner, all he got was a Watford FC tankard and his BFH.
Absolutely, we must have spent tens of millions on managers the season we went down. I believe we paid Javi near to around 3 million alone!
It has been said that Xisco was on a relatively low salary when we brought him in. Not sure whether he had a bonus clause upon promotion.
Well i hope they didn't need to pay Pearson off too much as he was in the last week of his contract?
Guess managers like Slav was at the end of his contract whilst QSF first time had a break clause in his.
Zola & Sanino both resigned, Garcia had a health scare.
Anything we had to pay Snake would have been offset by the compensation from Everton.
£4.5m received in season 18/19 from Everton re Silva- £6.7m paid out in 19/20 to sack Garcia, QSF and Pearson
Thanks for posting that. I knew I'd heard somewhere we'd paid out a massive chunk in 19/20. I suppose most was Gracia on his bumper new deal.
Bookies not closed this yet!
