Depends what you mean by realistic? It’s clear it’s not going to happen, probably for financial reasons rather than footballing ones, but why would it not be realistic to try? I’m asking as in if you were the manager without having to do what the owners tell you. Would you personally as manager play Gray over those other options?
if we are going to be objective and take the frustration out of it (which I am personally not prepared to do ) Gray has the ability to get into the right place and its not that far a stretch to think if he got a couple he could start scoring a lot (I personally don't think he will). Only reason I can see for Xisco playing him, is that he sees something in training and he thinks he can bring him back into form. The alternative is that Xisco is being handed the team sheet and told who to play , however that doesn't make a great deal of sense if it was about money, play JP get him into the spotlight and sell him (which would be easier than selling Gray). End of the day who knows
As I have just posted somewhere else getting into a good position is hopeless if you can't control a ball instantly. Poor ball control will invite pressure/blocks/tackles from previous good positions.
